I prefer Everett. Emmett is fine but seems more... country? Which just isn't my style. Same with Wyatt, I like it, but not sure if it's too country for me.

They are both good names
Its so funny because everyone I have talked to either seems to really prefer one of the other. Not that I am naming my child based on others opinions but its so funny to me!
One of the advantages I see of Everett is being able to use the NN Rhett which I think its cute for a little boy. Can't really think of any good NN for Emmett.
I prefer Everett but I like V, Z, or X in boy names. Emmett reminds me of Emmett Till and you are in the South so more people might make that connection. Not that I think there is anything wrong with that connection but it is a sad situation and it was the first thing that came to mind.
We went through the same thing because we liked both names. We chose Everett in the end and I love that we did. We have yet to meet another person (grown up or child) with this name but we continue to get compliments on it all the time. We thought we would use the NN Rhett but so far, we haven't used it. Funny how things work out. Today, my baby boy is 14 months old!

Please...PLEASE...Emmett for sure. I REALLY dislike Everett. It's terrible IMO, but I'm a fan of Wyatt. Emmett overall, and Wyatt second ;-)
