I have a 3 year old who is 34 pounds and a 1 year old.
My 3 year old is in a Britax Advocate (which can go up to 70lbs), and my 1 year old is in her infant carrier which she needs to come out of because she has reached the max height requirement.
I am unsure if I should put my 1 year old into our convertible and buy a harness to booster, and put my 3 year old in that. NOTE: I am not putting her in a booster seat, this would be a harness to booster so once she comes out of the harness would then turn into the booster.
The other option is to simply buy another convertible. I need some insight as to when most people transfer out of convertibles. The guy at the store said many kids can stay in convertibles until going directly to a booster in terms of weight and height but the problem because as they grow wide they become too snug and uncomofrtablte. Advice please?!
and to further clarify based on a post I read down below - I am asking about the 5 point harness - that is what I MAY switch her too (the harness to booster type). I am so stressed over this LOL.
If your 3y old is FF, there's no safety difference between the FF convertible and a harnessed booster. I'd buy a harnessed booster and pass the convertible down to your 1y old (to be used RF).
Re: When will you switch from a convertible to a harness to booster?
