Just got a call from the doctor. My bloodwork showed very LOW Prog. levels. So I didn't ovulate, but I swear that I did. My face has been breaking out, my chart shows the lines on it, I've been having cramps like crazy (not related to AF), and I just... FELT like it was different this time. The Dr. isn't in until thursday, so I have to wait to see if I will be getting a different dosage, or staying on the same for another month. In the mean time, I just get to wait for AF to show up. My husband still thinks I should take a pregnancy test in a few days, but I don't know if I want to put myself through another BFN.

Loss and IF veteran. Current mom of DS 5.5, DD 2, and sometimes DH 40. Due June 2021 with TWINS
So frustrating. I did 6 cycles of Clomid (3 with DD and 3 this try) and I only ovulated once. Are you going to an RE? Are you being monitored? What about doing a trigger?
**siggy warning**
3/09 Clomid 50mg - no O
5/09 Clomid 100 mg - no O
7/09 HSG partial blockage, SA passed with flying colors
Emilykbw - I will be going to an RE after one more cycle of clomid, I'm waiting to see if they are going to up the dose to 100mg. As of now, for both cycles with clomid they've only had me temping, using OPKs, and bloodwork at 21 days. I'm going to ask about more monitoring this next cycle. No idea what a trigger is? Sorry, I'm still fairly new at this... Thanks!

I had the same experience this past month. In the past I've had ovulation "symptoms" and when that happened I would take an ovulation test and it was positive. So, this month when the symptoms showed, I told DH and we "got down to business". I had blood work done to test my progesterone levels at day 22. My doc's nurse called 4 days later and said my progesterone levels were low which meant I didn't ovulate. I was devastated. I haven't started Clomid yet, but after my next appointment on Tuesday, I have a feeling I will be. Sorry we're stuck in the same boat. :-( I hope the doctor has something good to say.
I temp'ed and used an ovulation kit while on clomid and both indicated I ovulated. However, RE said in my case, it can give false positives due to numerous tiny follicles and something else.
Hoping you have better results next time!!
Me: 28 DH:35
Married 03/20/11
Started TTC: Nov 2011
05/2013: went to OB-Gyn regarding irregular periods & told not to worry
10/2013: HSG- Clear & normal. Progesterone to induce cycle. Husband SA- "low end of normal"
10/2013: Clomid 50mg- 2 small follicles
11/2013: Clomid 50mg- no follicles
12/2013: Progesterone to induce cycle
01/2014: Clomid 100mg- 1 small follicle. Transferred to RE
02/2014: Prometrium & Progesterone injection to induce cycle
04/01/2014: IUI #1- BFN
04/17/2014: cyst....waiting for it to go away
04/28/2104: started Follistim ...again
05/07 & 05/08/2014: 4 mature follies- IUI 2 days in a row. Praying for a BFP
That really sucks. :-( It sounds like our situations are similar (started trying around the same time, lack of ovulation). Have you had a full work-up to determine why you might not be ovulating? I know for me, my prolactin levels were very high, so treating the prolactin levels along with the anovulation is supposed to lead to better results. (You might not have the same reason for not ovulating, but treating the cause could be helpful, if you aren't.) Also, you might want to consider seeing a RE if you aren't already. Like you, I also did not respond to Clomid. My RE was monitoring me though, so we knew that around CD 10-12 and I was able to start a second round of Clomid then instead of waiting for CD 21 labs and then just having to wait for my period.
I know each person has their own way of dealing with things. If you're making the choice to start of kind of slowly, that's totally fine. I just thought I'd offer some perspective on what a specialist might be able to do differently for you.
Whatever you decide, I completely empathize with your frustration, and I wish you the best of luck.
**siggy warning** **everyone welcome**

I'm so sorry that you're going through this... it's really hard when you are so convinved that you physically feel different but then you're told that it's nothing. I hope that your doctor can get you on something that will get your body back in action quickly!
Maybe go and do something nice for youself in terms of your skin care. Go pick out some new face wash or new beauty care routine so that you can try and get to feeling comfortable about your face again. I always feel a little better when I feel like I look my best
Trying to have baby #1 since April 2013
