SUPER timid intro and note to TTCAL...

Hi, all... 

This is a very, very, very timid intro.  I think they say "a line is a line", though... I tested for the last 2 days (this morning I was sick all night so I didn't!)... I had a VERY light line the Saturday at 9/10 DPO and a pretty light line on Sunday at 10/11 DPO... I HOPE it's the real thing but obviously I'm nervous after 2 losses.  I won't feel comfortable for awhile, I think.  I will confirm with a digital tomorrow, I think?  When did most of you get a "dark" line or turn a digital test positive?  

NOTE TO TTCAL: I'm not posting a BFP on the board... I'm still too old school, and I'm not on the board as much as others lately, so I'm not sure it's ok.  HOWEVER, I hope that some of you are lurking so I can say THANK YOU to everyone over there.  You have been so informative and helpful both when I asked questions and when I read other responses.  The GTG we had just a few days before my fibroid surgery in December really took my mind off things, too, as did the Wagamama and canollis!  Also, the number of PM's and hugs, etc. that I got after my surgery was awesome... I was even reading them from the hospital.  TTCAL is really a great place, and as Snegde (I think?) said "It's the best place you don't want to be"... I was pretty inactive while benched, and I admire those of you who support others far more than I am capable of.  You have generous hearts.  Thank you.  

ABOUT ME: I'm mother to one living child and I had a m/c last February and then again in October, which appeared to be twins.  I had a huge fibroid removed in December and I hope it's ok to be pregnant.  Doctor said to wait three months, so here I am, 3 months later.  I have more trouble staying pregnant than getting pregnant, which is why I'm so nervous.  I will be in the shadows for awhile, until I get a doctors confirmation, hear a HB, etc., and I doubt I'll even change my siggy.  I love to read (is there a book club on here?) and I love to cook (recipe club?)... When I do have a child, it'll be straight to C-sec for me because of my history.  But it's way too early to even think about that.  So yeah, I'm here and hoping to stick around.  If you're a praying person, feel free to send some my way.  Because of my history, we're not telling anyone until I can no longer hide it--3 or 4 months, if I can.

    Congrats and welcome!  I remember you from my stay on TTCAL.  I'm so happy for you!  I am sending lots of positive thoughts your way for a happy & healthy 9 months  :)

    As far as turning a digital test positive, I panicked a bit in the beginning because I had a few consecutive that said "not pregnant".  It wasn't until 12 or 13 DPO that it turned positive.  Somehow seeing the word "pregnant" gave me more reassurance!  LOL

    Yay!! Congrats!!! I never tested early but I bet I wouldn't have turned a test so try not to think too much about it as most people don't turn a positive that early. Yay again!!

    Congratulations and welcome!  What kind of tests are you using?  I turned a FRER pretty dark at 10/11 dpo, but have since discovered that this little guy was likely an early implanter.  As for wondfos, I think it took almost another week to get a good dark one. Wishing you a very (boring) H&H 9 months!

    Hi SoxFan!! Nice to see you here. I understand about not wanting to change your siggy, As for your question, I had a squinter on a FRER at 9dpo and by the evening of 11dpo my test line was as dark as the control line and that was the first time I tried the digi and it was positive too. But I would take my experience with a grain of salt - at 21 dpo my beta was over 12,000 so mine is rising unusually fast. With my past pregnancies (except the CP), I only tested at 13 or 14 dpo, and the test line was still lighter than the control. I would think that if you had a light line on Saturday, a digi would turn three days later. GL!

    So very happy to see you here - congrats and welcome! With this pregnancy, I wasn't able to turn a digital until 12 DPO, and my lines didn't seem to be getting darker until 12/13DPO either on the FRER's I was using.

    Congratulations!!!  I'm 13DPO today and got a + digital this morning; started getting light lines at 9DPO. I'd wait a couple days just to be on the safe side.

    Congrats and welcome!!!! With this pregnancy, I actually never got a crazy dark line. At 12 dpo, I turned a dollar store cheapie into a definite line, but I wouldn't say it was "extremely dark". After two losses I just didn't want to do the digital thing.... I figured my dr was making me to betas so I skipped the digital. Hope that helped!!! Congrats again!

    Welcome and congrats! My lines were pretty light until 15 DPO but I also never tried a digital. I know how tough PGAL brain is but as of right now you are pregnant!

    My 1st US was 4w3d due to lmp descrepancy.
    My 2nd US @ 6w3d is tomorrow. From here I should have another US in 2wks.

    I just wanted to say congratulations and welcome! To answer your question about betas. I called in 13dpo/iui to get them done after a couple days of positives on wondfos and a digital test. So I would call and see if they would get you in. Good luck and keep us updated!

    Yay!!!!  Congratulations!!  So happy to see you here :).  My first few tests were pretty faint (9-11dpo) and started to get pretty dark closer to 14dpo.  I haven't taken a digital yet because I confirmed betas w/ bw.  So many (((hugs)))!!!

    Congrats and welcome!! I called my OB as soon as I got a BFP. I got it on a Saturday, called on Monday and they had me come in the next day. I don't think it would hurt to go ahead and call to see if and when you should go in, I know a lot if docs are different.

    Congratulations! I like the clear blue digital pregnancy test. It can tell you if you are pg clearly and early. Also for the betas, it is different for everyone. This time, my doctor says I should come in for blood work twice a week so that he can better monitor my betas and be more aware of my signs. I am so happy he is doing that because I am sooo paranoid since this is my third pregnancy and the other two ended in m/cs.
    Married my best friend 7/2/11 - Furbaby born 7/9/11 and brought into our home 9/1/11

    BFP#1:   2/2/13 ~ exact m/c date unknown but around 3/20 at 10 weeks ~ diagnosed with PMP ~ D&C on 4/5 ~ TTA for at least 1 year due to PMP ~ cleared to TTC 1/14

    BFP#2:   2/7/14 ~ m/c 2/20/14 ~ possibly due to chemical pregnancy ~ TG no D&C is needed 

    Surprise BFP#3:  4/4/14 ~ super duper extra happy (and nervous) about this one - EDD 12/9/14!!!

    John Joseph was born on 12/12/14 at 7 lbs. 11 oz.  He is the most beautiful rainbow baby we could have wished for!
