Ideas for bedridden 2 yr old

My friend's DS fractured his femur and is in a body cast which restricts him from doing anything but laying down. He has to be in the cast for 6 weeks.

I feel horrible for them and I can't imagine having my 2 yr old restricted like that for that long. I'm trying to put together a basket of fun things for him to do.
So far I have sticker books, magna doodle and a movie! Any more ideas?

Perhaps a mini basketball hoop (like the ones that can clip to a trash can) for somthing a little more 'active'.

My kids loved the color wonder markers and coloring books around that age. I think Melissa and Doug make some fun activity books. Do they have netflix? It's pretty cheap to gift 1-2 months and they are tons of kids shows.
