1st Birthday Gift

DH and I were talking last night about what to get DD. I have so many ideas. I feel a little overwhelmed trying to narrow it down. I just want to buy her all the things. So I thought I'd see if anybody else had any ideas I haven't thought of. So if you have thought about what are your plans?

We're on the fence about what to get her as well. Right now we do know we want it to be something for outdoors. I have a huge wishlist I made on toys r us and I am having trouble narrowing it down also lol. As of now we're between a swing set or a sand/water table and maybe like a baby slide.

I got my little one the red version of this from Kohls online. It was $119.00 but with Promo codes and Kohls cash I got it for $60 and no shipping! I am super excited for summer with this and it has two seats in it for his friend or hopefully one day a sibling. Also the red one has storage for sippy cups and snacks so I can bring it places. My plan is to set it up, put a bow on it and fill it with some little things!

A wagon and water table are on my list. But also maybe a playhouse for outside or slide. I need a bay swing for our swing set. There are just way to many things.

@2013sarabelleATX‌ I like it because I like her to have some child-size things that she can drag around so she has her own space. She is barely getting the hang of it now.

I will say the price is silly because it's just three separate pieces of foam inside material. I'm glad we got ours on sale. I saw some for cheaper somewhere once that weren't PBK.

I'm sorry my answer is so robotic. We've had a lot of broken sleep in this house this week.

Edit: Also, we'll be in Austin for the MS150 next week. Your name just reminded me of that.

I think we will do a water table for outside and then a ball pit for her play room. We are keeping it simple on our end since we are throwing her a party and I know our families will buy enough stuff.

@2013sarabelleATX‌ We bought my toddler an anywhere chair for her first birthday and she loves it. It's the perfect place to read a book or sit in for a movie. It's a comfy kid-sized chair. And I like that the cover easily comes off so it can be washed. My LO loves climbing into his sister's, so that why he is getting his own for his birthday.

We are getting him the big little tikes slide. We originally bought him a water table but now my mom is giving it to him since we wanted to buy the slide. For DS1, we bought the crab sand box. Hes an oct baby ans wanted him to be able to use it right away so we bought ball pit balls to go in it. So for the winter we bring it inside for a ball pit and the summer we fill it up with sand for outside.
ETA DS1 also got a cozy coupe and trailer from gma.

We've started. I'm 6 movies in so far. DS1 is driving me crazy with Robin Hood this month.

We're transferring $500 from our income tax into her account and her party is going to cost a decent amount, so her actual gift is just going to be something small just for the sake of having something for her to unwrap.

In my experience, no matter what you get LO, he will only notice the empty boxes and balloons. I haven't decided what to get C yet. My niece loved her play kitchen at 1, and my oldest son got a baby splash pool he loved for his first birthday. C loves balls but got his ball pit for Christmas-- he plays with it every day.
