Rudith

Rudith Lillian Huxtable, aka Rudy. 

Apparently little Rudy's name on The Cosby Show was really Rudith. I did NOT know this. I know that Theo is Theodore and Cliff is Heathcliff, but I thought that Rudy was just Rudy. 

I'm sitting here watching The Cosby show, and decided to look something non name-related up. I first saw that Rudy was really listed as Rudith as a formal name on Wikipedia, and then I decided to Google it. There are several sites that list her name is Rudith Lillian Huxtable, so I assume that's correct. 

I looked up Rudith on BTN and didn't see listed, and I can't say I've ever heard of it before.  It's like a hybrid of Ruth and Judith. 

Did anyone else know this? Or have any of you ever heard of Rudith before?  I'm just curious.

    I've never heard of the name Rudith anywhere else.
     
    I love the name Rudy.  For a boy.
    I knew the Full House kids' names as I felt like they said them semi-often, but I've somehow missed Rudith, or my mind made me forget or something. I don't know. 

    I'm sitting at home sick right now and I've been watching old reruns of sitcoms from my childhood all weekend, and for some reason, Rudith has blown my mind.

    I don't really like Rudy a lot on either sex, but I don't hate it either. 

    Come to think of it, the only real life Rudy I know is a male.
