Boy Names that go with Walter...

Hello Everyone --

I was wondering everyone's take on boy names that would go with "Walter." My grandfather's name was Walter, and he and I were really close. I already have one son, named after his daddy, so I would like to honor my grandfather if baby #2 turns out to be a boy. My husband agreed to think about it as a middle name. So any first name suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you. :-)

Agreed... use Walter as a first name!  LOVE IT!
  • My son's name is Owen Mitchell. My husband and I tend to like classic, yet unique. We chose Owen because it wasn't something you hear too often anymore, yet simple enough for our son and others to spell without difficulty. Mitchell is my husband's middle name, so obviously, that's why we chose it. We love his name, classic yet a little unique. :(|)

Well, if that's your style, then definitely do Walter as a fn. Maybe it's just my circle of friends/area, but Owen seems to be a more popular name nowadays. Walter is awesomely classic and definitely not a name you hear a lot.

  • That's true. I will definitely bring it up with DH. He is not a big fan of Walter, so even getting him to consider it in any way is a step. :)
  • It's going to be a hard decision.  All of these suggestions are great.  Thanks so much Ladies!!!  Just a funny side note, my husband seems to think that Bertus would be a good boy's name.  Me, not so much....  lol
  • DH and I just added Walter as a first name to our boy list. We love the nn Walt.

    I like Walter Michael.

With Walter as the mn I like:

    John Walter

    Timothy Walter

    Jude Walter

  • It's hard not knowing how it will all sound with your last name but I think Edward Walter, Thomas Walter, Reid Walter, Leslie Walter. Good luck on your search
