Bowel urgency??

I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or has experienced something like this with previous pregnancies. I had a vaginal delivery with an episiotomy (not sure to what degree she cut me) since then when I feel the urge to poo I have to literally hurry to the toilet I can not hold it in. My bowels have been solid so I guess that's a positive. I plan on talking to my do at my post partum in a two weeks but wondering if anyone has had or has thi problem and what are you doing or have you done to resolve the problem. I have been doing kegels.

    I had this after my first delivery. I had a bad third degree tear and I didn't feel like I needed to poop until it was about falling out of me. It did resolve itself in a few weeks for me as the muscles healed and regained strength. I don't remember how long it took but it was better before my 6 week checkup.

    This is me as well :( glad I'm not the only one, DH will be talking to me and I literally stop him mid sentence and run to the bathroom...I had a minor tear - 3 stitches wonder if this is one of the results?

    I thought I was just having a bad case of indigestion or something that was making my bathroom time weird... I woke up out of a dead sleep (well, as deep a sleep as you can get with a NB as a light-ish sleeper) because I felt like I was going to explode! :( Clench and run!

    I took the stool softners for about a week but haven't taken them since.

    Yep. I have this issue too. May be TMI, but I was nursing one day that first week while DH had gone to the pharmacy and all of a sudden had the urg. I couldn't put LO down fast enough and completely shat myself. DH came home to a screaming baby in the R&P and a bawling me in the bathroom trying to clean up. I could hear LO screaming but couldn't go to him because I was such a mess. Talk about humiliating, depressing, and a bad mommy moment all rolled into one! Ugh!
