  It's okay to do a full color. .. and it doesn't have to be organic or whatever. At 26 weeks I did a full color and high lights. Everything still seems to be good with me and baby. Just like everything else, it's okay to do stuff on that pregnancy no no list, as long as it's done it moderation.

  My OB says no issues with hair dying (was one of my first questions). I've kept up my usual appointments - full dye/root touch up every 4-6 weeks. Purple is not out of the question, for years I kept the underneath of my hair Royal Purple, it was awesome, I'm thinking of doing it again soon

  If you are so concerned with "harming" baby with coloring your hair, coloring your hair with something from a store is the worst. It will always have higher ammonia or peroxide levels in it. Even if it says organic. Whatever the ingredient is that activates the color will be a lot stronger than anything you would get in a salon.   I agree with the pp - go to a salon for sure

  also I only got highlights, as it doesn't soak into your scalp like color does

  Just got my overall color plus low-lights done yesterday.  My friend has her license and uses salon grade stuff, we just dye it at home (it's just cheaper for me and she makes more $$$).  Colored it all the way through my first pregnancy as well.  Totally a personal preference.
