Anyone else "Nesting" like crazy??

This is baby #2 for me and I'm nesting big time! It kind of helps this is another lil girl and our daughter is only 14mths...so we have everything we need, but I'm still running around the house like a mad woman! Lol! At my 34wk appt my OB said that this is going to be an April baby. Aaaagghhh!! I'm carrying really low and baby is head down! My DD was born at 36wks, so there could be a chance of another early baby. But I've been getting a progesterone shot every week to keep her baking a little longer! Needless to say, I've been nesting like crazy the last couple days!! Organizing, shopping, etc!

Anyone else out there doing this?? It doesn't help every week I'm reading birth announcements on this board :)

    Not really. Everything is done in regard to baby prep, so I'm just doing the basic housework and stuff.

    Just started major this week even tough in on strict bed rest. I can't fight the urge and told hubby I felt like he wS coming soon!!

    We have a 27 month old so I find myself needing to clean and organize a lot more than with him. He's just got so much stuff everywhere. I even made hubby clean out the entire garage yesterday while I sat in the chair and gave him ideas on how to organize his tools and equipment! I've got it bad! ;)

    No, I'm not nesting. I'm having a c-section at 39w and won't be allowed to go into labor, so I doubt I'll have a nesting period at all. I never did with my first either.

    But I have been cleaning everything, setting up the baby's room, and getting prepared for her arrival. I have 7 weeks left but only 4 weekends, so I need to get the house ready ahead of time.

    Not me. I'd love to have some motivation to do something other than eat, but nope. I'd rather sit on the couch and eat ice cream.
    Nesters are more than welcome to come set up all my baby stuff though.

    I am!  I can't stop.  I'm constantly cleaning and organizing.  The baby's room is done and now I'm on a mission to have our master bedroom painted and get a new bedroom set before the baby arrives.  I literally organized my tupperware cabinet last week too.  If there's something to be done, I'm not sitting down until I do it.  Yesterday I shopped for some things for my hopital bag, came home and immediately washed it all.  I already got all of the stuff ready for DS1's Easter basket and got all of his summer clothes washed and put away since I won't have time to do it when baby arrives.  I've literally never been this organized.

    BFP#1 - 11/27/09 EDD 8/5/10, DS1 arrived 7/24/10 via emergency c-section.

    BFP#2 - 6/18/12 EDD 2/23/13, sweet baby girl born sleeping on 10/4/12 at 19 weeks, 3 days.

    BFP #3 - 1/18/13 EDD 10/1/13, natural mc on 2/2/13 at 5 weeks, 4 days.

    Nothing for me yet...was productive today with some random energy but now I need a nap! I could use the nesting bug to get my butt into gear!

    Not really nesting but I've been wanting to organize DSs clothes for the longest time. Likewise, I've been wanting to hang up all of LOs clothes too but that has to wait until my dad finishes the closet.

    I have been for about 2 weeks and keep doing more and more, I can't stop! I feel like there is so much we have left to do.

    I seem to nest in waves. First wave was paint/furniture. Then, diapers, clothes, nursery items. Last week was bottles and other kitchen-related things. I am mostly set, just have some child proofing I want to do, but that can wait if needed.

    Not yet but I'm usually pretty lazy. I have my shower this weekend so maybe it will kick in after that. Also maybe after I go on maternity leave and I get bored and I'm just ready for her to come I'll start doing some of those crazy nesting things... We'll see!

    Yep! We finally painted the nursery this weekend. Then I put together the crib, changing table and a bitch of a dresser :)

    I want to be!!! It's driving me nuts! We don't have a mattress yet so I haven't bought any bedding, and I haven't had my shower yet so there aren't enough clothes to sell the hubby on washing what we have.
    Meanwhile, I feel like Little Girl could decide to come any day, and I'm not prepared at home OR at work. My stress level is not the lowest right now...

    Totally! I have been working my way through a list of about 80 things. So far I have cleaned out and organized the pantry and kitchen cabinets, washed rugs, washed pillows, cleaned blinds and windows in all of the bedrooms, washed and put away baby clothes and blankets, reorganized my son's room, cleaned the chandelier in the foyer, and did some deep cleaning in the kitchen.

    Today's projects are deep cleaning the guest bath and cleaning out/organizing the linen closet.

    It's slow going though because I need to take lots of breaks.

    I've been on an energy surge since Saturday. My shower is this weekend, so I hope it lasts long enough to go through everything and get it organized.

    It just kicked in for me. My NN is normally Messy Jessie, so you can imagine what my house typically looks like. But for the last few days instead of rewatching TWD or preparing for GoT, I've done things like clean out and scrub the fridge and organize our filing cabinet. This morning DH drove me to work, so I cleaned out the glove compartment for fun. I am not myself.

    I want to but literally everything is done.  There is nothing left to clean or organize, so I just find myself sitting in DD's room waiting like I did with DS lol!

    I have the nesting energy but we are painting our new house this weekend and doing flooring then moving next week. So instead of getting everything in place I am currently packing up our whole house. Gah!!!!!

    DH and I renting a huge carpet cleaner this weekend. All the baby stuff has been ordered, so as it trickles in I will be organazing! Super excited to be done!

    I've been organizing like crazy, did my spice cabinet, pantry, pots and pans and bill paying area last weekend. Got the vents in the house all cleaned and blown out. I work 50 hours a week so I broke down and hired someone to do the deep scrubbing I have been neglecting cause bending over is hard. This weekend it will by LO's closet and my hospital bag...

    I retract my former comment, apparently that day of "random energy" has continued for day 3 now. Got boxes sorted and unpacked/condensed that haven't since we moved in with my parents in Dec., started organizing various places in the room (hubs, baby, and I in one room), cooking meals, running errands and making phone calls I've put off...if this is just the beginning, I'm nervous to see how bad it will get!

    It's cool to see how everyone is different when it comes to this "nesting". The bug really hit me hard yesterday...I wanted everything on the list done. DH was awesome and took a lot of it on on his own too. We cleaned and organized our pots and pans plus the lazy Susan cabinet in our kitchen, we pulled out the spring/summer clothes bin and switched with our winter stuff (also did lots of donating), we switched over all our shoes and donated what we haven't used too and did some laundry. He even installed car seat and bases for both cars! The next big thing is cleaning out the pantry then it's little stuff here and there! Phewf but it felt darn good getting things done and donating lots!

    Its starting to kick in … its such an odd urge to organize, purge, wash etc of all things.

    I was tired of looking at the dust on the floor, so instead of asking DH for the hundredth time I vacuumed myself. I was pretty tired by the end!

    I kinda want to organize my closet, but I know I'll get rid of stuff I will want after baby.

    For some reason i decided that our under-stairs cupboard/pantry really needed clearing out today. It HAS to be done (it doesn't have to be done). I've done pretty well so far, but i really wish i could channel this energy into prepping my hospital bag. I feel like once i do it, my body will immediately decide its time and i'm not ready for that just yet.

    I haven't set up shit and I'm paying someone to come in and deep clean the house for us. So I guess I'm half-ass nesting by proxy?
