TMI teething poop

I'm such a newbie at teething. DS only has 3...the third just popped out last week. Teething is really hard on him. He's cranky and needing his Motrin before it's even time to give him another dose.

My question is lots of yellow, acidic poop normal or should I call the doctor? It smells sour too. Almost like vomit. We had 5 poopy diapers today and the poor boy is getting such bad diaper rash from it.

    Same here. At first I thought it was from teething but then I started thinking maybe he had a stomach thing. We can't quite figure it out. He's pooping a ton! Awful smelling yellow poo and going through a few outfits a day. Now that I see your post I think maybe it is just from teething. He's having an awful time with his molars coming in. Sorry wish I had the answer, but we're in the same boat as you. I'm curious to hear what others are experiencing.

    Totally normal. Take it from us who are now working on tooth 13, every time DD starts cutting a new one the poo increases in frequency and starts to look and smell like yellow brown vomit. It burns her butt like crazy. In fact I posters below about crazy sleep last well and didn't know why and then that poop arrived and I was like, of course it must be teeth! I read somewhere that it looks like chicken korma and I didn't know what that was so I googled images and it was dead on! Obviously killed that dish for me ;-)

    DS' poop looks normal, but it increases in frequency.

    16 teeth here and similar experience when he got molars and canines.

    We haven't noticed any difference with DS when he is teething but his poop does change when he has had Tylenol or Ibuprophen - if you're giving him pain meds that might be the culprit.

    Normal. DS is popping 2 canines, and two molars right now, and his diapers are atrocious. Almost makes we wish we didn't CD. They swallow SO much saliva while teething so hard that their little tummies rebel. Right now i am only using my pocket diapers with light insides because his BMs actually caused a bleach type staining in darker fabrics. Teething, i am fairly certain, is the devil.

    7/5/11 MC at 8 weeks. 5/17/12 BFP, twins EDD 1/20/13! 6/20/12 Baby B's heart has stopped beating. 8/31/12 Baby A is a boy! And is perfectly healthy and thriving. 1/19/2013 emergency c-section, Thoren is perfect. 3/1/2013 told i will never be able to conceive again. 12/16/13 told they were wrong!

    Like pp totally normal. DD is working on her last 2 molars now and lots of yellow acidic poop.
