  DS1 had the vacuum used on him and I don't remember the sight becoming hard. It was red and swollen but it never became hard. I would probably ask my pedi about it again try not to worry. If she said it was normal the it probably is, it just didn't happen with Ds1.

  I don't have experience, but was wondering can you rub it down? Like with DS1 before I had my c/s he got stuck on the way out so he was cone headed ad we rubbed it back to the prettiest round peanut you ever did see

  Mine didn't have the vacuum, but had a large red swollen knot that the ped said was like a blood blister. It got hard and is still there at 6.5 weeks. Ped said it would get hard then go away with time. It's not very pretty though.

  @noconalove ...It sounds like what I had as a baby I had this HUGE red thing right on my forehead it also looked like a blood blister. It was gone by 3 or 4 months i believe. I have a small little mark from it but you wouldn't know it unless I point it out to people. Its not red just flesh tone.
