DS2 is almost 25 months and still in a crib with no change in sight. DS1 was in his crib until he was 3y3m. I'm not moving DS2 until 3 years or he starts climbing out of his crib.

Yeah, I am in a similar boat, but DD is starting to hike that little leg up to the railing, so I think we have precious few weeks before that little body goes flying over.
DD is 3y2m and is still in a crib. We are moving to a new house next month and will put her in a toddler bed there. I know she can climb out but she doesn't so she stays. If she was trying to climb out I'd move her. DS is 18 mos and I would like to keep him in a crib until he's 16.
LO was only in a proper crib for his birth three months, before I got him. When I got him, he slept in the bed with me because I wanted to bond with him as quickly as possible, and that seemed like the best idea at the time, especially as my partner was away for the first 5 months I had him. Once my partner came back, LO was so used to sleeping with me, we didn't see the point in getting him a drib when we had a massive bed, so all of us slept together. He was only 13 months when he went into a toddler bed, and we never had any problems with it. He stayed in our room until he was 21 months old though.

You never know...DS2 hiked his leg up a few times when he was around 18 months old I was in the room and I told him no and then kept a hawk eye on him on the video monitor for a few weeks and he hasn't done it again (that I've seen).

This is great to know. We do the same thing with the video monitor.
There was one day when I was in the room with DD as she was laying down for nap while DH was in the shower. I reached over and kind of slid her over the crib to snuggle....He BURST into the room, completely naked, pale as a ghost thinking she fell over the edge. I felt horrible but laughed.
We just switched this week. I so wanted to keep him in there way longer but he was jumping out as fast I could put him back in. He'd snuck out a few times in the past 6 months but this time it was constant and unstoppable so we really had to move him this time.
We coslept. DD was in a cosleeper (crib size) next to our queen size bed, and then in a queen size bed (with me) after that.
We also co-sleep many nights, are you still co-sleeping now?
We moved DD to our old queen mattress on the floor next to our bed when we upgraded to a king when she was a year. Of course, I still slept with her the whole night. Around 18ish months we *started* working on her falling asleep on her own. It took well over six months.
Then we moved her mattress to her room at 2.5yrs, but I still slept with her the whole night.
At some point (four or six months later?), I started sleeping the night in my own bed, and still - at nearly 4yrs - go into her bed in her room in the MOTN when she wakes up and calls me.
I don't see me sleeping the whole night until she's STTN. I don't see that happening any time super soon.
We moved DS1 at around 31 months. He still wasn't climbing out of the crib yet, but I was getting too pregnant to lift him in and out. He loves his big boy bed; we had a pretty easy transition.
My LO figured out how to launch herself out of her crib on Christmas Day! When we put her down for her afternoon nap and I guess she wanted to be out with her new toys because a few minutes later we heard her knocking on the inside of her bedroom door. We put her back in the crib and watched her throw her leg over the side. We immediately took the side off her crib, made the room EXTRA child proof, read her another story, and put her into the now toddler bed for her nap. She actually fell asleep. We moved her to a junior bed from IKEA with pillow and comforter later that week and she has slept in it ever since. She was ready and she let us know which was awesome because I just had baby #2 a few weeks ago and didn't need to buy a second crib!!

Ha! I forgot to mention... she was almost 23 months at the time.
However this January, DD was in the hospital about 3 weeks or so, and got so used to sleeping in a regular bed in the hospital, we ended up taking the crib apart 2 days after we came home. She LOVES her bed.
