By the time our twins are born, we could very well have 3 children under 1 year old. What vehicle do you recommend that would fit 3 carseats, 2 adults, strollers, and other essential cargo comfortably?
Minivan. Some prefer SUVs, but with 3 rear facing seats the sliding doors and flexibility of a minivan makes the most sense. It will make your life much easier.

Ditto on the sliding doors, as well as the auto lift/close on the back hatch. In the rain, or in a tight parking lot, it's nice not having to worry about my older kids banging the side doors into the neighboring vehicles since the doors don't swing out. And not having to put a carseat on the ground just to open the door and load up is a plus when you have multiples. We also bought used.. Toyota Sienna. One other feature that is a must with kids, regardless of minivan vs SUV, etc, is leather seats. Trust me.
We loved our Odyssey, until #4 came along...then it felt a little tight. Now we have the extra long model of Escalade, it is a gas pig...but we love it.

Just bought a Ford Expedition EL in January. DS (age 3) and one if the twins will be in the 2nd row buckets and the other twin will go in the 3rd row. That way I can still put half the third row down for additional cargo room. The BOB Revolution Duallie fits with the 3rd row up and there is still room for other stuff.
We have been minivan shopping this weekend and think we have settled on the Honda odyssey. I will have 3 rearfacing for quite awhile, and that was the car I felt I had the most flexibility with car seat placement, since all 6 seats can accommodate a car seat, all have tether points for forward facing seats when the time comes, and the middle wow seats are removable, so you can take one out for easy access to the backseat. It seems to have tons of cargo space and great safety features too.
Same boat...4 under 17 months. We're getting the odyssey next week

We are doing the Pilot. I have large dogs to consider and they don't fit well in a van, it makes me uncomfortable. We don't usually ride together with them a whole lot, but need to be able to. If I could afford the Yukon XL or similar, I would go that route but we are paying cash. And I can't do a minivan (yet), I just cant. My SIL did triplets in a Yukon just fine. Depends on your preference here!
@jamie718 What RF seat is your son in? My DS is only 15 months so will still be RFing. TIA!

Ditto the minivan rec. We have a Town & Country and love it. The sliding doors, automatic lift gate and stow & go seating are all awesome. We always have one of the captains chairs folded down and stowed into the floor of the van. It makes it easier for us to get all three kids in, especially in the rain, and it leaves a nice, big space open for changing diapers when needed. Unfortunately there are only three seats with LATCH and rear tether anchors and only one of those seats is in the back row, so that is something to think about, especially with three so close in age.

Thank you all sooooooooooo much!!!!! Never considered the Odyssey or the Pilot. We'll definitely check them out!!! Love all the input and the pros and cons!!!
We test drove the Pilot and the Odyssey yesterday, and I have to say I was blown away by the Odyssey! Such a smooth ride and so many convenience and safety features. Even my husband who was somewhat anti-van loooooved it!
