  Of course! Just put vase line on your hairline and ears before you apply the color to help prevent dye getting on your skin. I used box a lot as a teen and in my early 20's. The only reason I stopped was because I enjoy the pampering of sitting and reading and having someone else wash my hair. But box is just as awesome as salon color.

  Oh and comb it through with a comb to make sure you get it all after you applied the whole bottle. Have fun! This is bringing up all kinds of fun memories of me and my sister. We would always help each other with box dyes lol

  Im doing mine today! I have serious grays that are along my hairline. I do like Nese suggested with the vaseline so keep the dye from getting on your skin. Also stay as close to your natural color as possible. I use Clairol expert Age Defy..it's made for gray hairs and it really covers them  If you get one not made for gray hair i find it tends to not cover them as well.
