Nausea... Go away!

I don't know if it is considered morning sickness, but I ALWAYS get nauseous and sometimes actually get sick if i am even a tad bit hungry... i have to eat and eat and eat just to keep my self from feeling sick.. :(  Sometimes, I even feel sick after drinking something or eating random things.. Is this even considered morning sickness and when will it go away?

Thanks for reading and all answers appreciated.

Re: Nausea... Go away!

  • Sounds exactly like morning sickness to me! It was so tough to eat through, and I caved and got zofran to help because I just couldn't make it through work for a few weeks feeling so sick. Like PP said, keep something in your stomach - I needed small amounts of food every 2-2.5 hours, but I know what you mean that food doesn't always sit well anyway. High protein is what my dr suggested (peanut butter, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, cheese, etc.).

Now, I have the occasional day or night now when I have a tough time fighting the nausea (@ 16 1/2 wks), but generally it's gone. Hope the same happens for you! (Sorry if u have a ticker, can't see it on mobile so I'm not sure how far along you are!)

  • Mine decided to rear is ugly head again at 18 weeks when I thought I had moved passed it at 14 weeks.

I hate taking Zofran, makes me super constipated :( but sometimes I give in cuz the nausea is just too much at times.

What's new now though is the added heartburn and indigestion. Definitely having snacks before u feel the nausea coming and my added advice would be not to let yourself get too full to help if that makes u nauseous as well.

    ALL WELCOME :)
  • Thanks, Everyone has such good advice.  I definitley try to keep food in my belly its so hard this baby wants to eat like ever hour of the day! phew.  I mainly feel really sick at night and really sick in the morning.. So i wake up everyday knowing its time to go get something to eat.
  • This is a strange tip (and I have not tried it), but a coworker just told me that the only thing that worked for her and her daughters (or daughter-in-laws?) to quell their nausea was to smell a newspaper page. She said something about the scent of the ink used in printing would instantly take away their nausea. Newspapers don't smell bad, but do have a light scent. Like I said, I have never personally tried it, but I figured since I just heard about this and it apparently works well, I would pass it on.
