I was told at our A/S that I have posterior complete Previa. I'm hoping it will move, but I am nervous! My dr is optimistic, but all the info online is scary! Anyone else feeling nervous? Or if you did have it and it moved, was it complete?
I know multiple people that had it and it moved, and just one who had it not move. All of their babies were perfectly fine. The one with the complete previa eventually had to have a C-section (at 39 weeks, maybe? I forget exactly) but that's not the end of the world and I've heard that a scheduled CS is often much easier to recover from than a long labor followed by an emergency CS.
I am not nervous about the c-section as long as my baby is healthy. I guess I need to relax! Do you know if they had any bleeding? I am a bit nervous too because I am not sure what to expect. Thx!
@Spinning42, she did have some bleeding that definitely caused her some anxiety, and she was on bed rest for a period of time as a result. But in the end, she had a healthy baby boy.
I also have posterior placenta previa (not complete). It was noticed at N/T scan (13 wks) & is still a concern after my A/S scan (20 wks). Doctor wants to keep monitoring - so we're doing another ultrasound 4-6 wks from now to check on progress. My doctors don't seem overly concerned. They're hopeful that it will correct by/in third tri, if not we'll discuss C/S options closer to due date.
I was just diagnosed this week (19 w) with posterior placenta previa. I've been put on pelvic rest (no intercourse and no strenous activity) for 8 weeks. My next ultrasound is scheduled then.
My doctor said I can still walk for exercise and H and I can still take our planned babymoon to New Orleans in late May. Obviously, if I start bleeding, this all could change. I haven't had any bleeding yet.
My doctors don't seem super worried, so I'm trying not too. I'm going to take it easy in hopes that it will move on its own and I can still take my trip!
I found at my 20 week u/s that I have placenta previa, although not sure how much is blocked. I am on pelvic rest and have another u/s at 25 weeks to f/u. Had already planned on RCS but I'm neevous about bleeding and other web md worst case senarios.
I was told I have partial posterior previa at my anatomy scan. I already go to the high risk doctor, so she scheduled me for another ultrasound to check it in 8 weeks. She didn't tell me anything about pelvic rest or no exercise. Honestly, I have been a little worried that she is not being cautious enough after reading things online. I had some light bleeding early in the 2nd trimester, and I'm worried about more bleeding.

My specialist said low-lying or marginal previa do not warrant restrictions. Partial and complete, warrant restrictions. Pelvic rest and not to lift anything heavier than 25 pounds.

Lurking, but I was diagnosed with a complete previa at my anatomy scan. Put on pelvic rest and no strenuous activities. I haven't had any bleeding. They will do another ultrasound at 28 weeks to check on it. I was planning a VBAC so I'm really hoping this moves!
Re: Placenta Previa(those with/or had)
ETA - for now I would try not to worry about it

I go back in 6 weeks for another u/s to check on it.
