OK ... I'm sure some of you moms with more than one kid have figured this out ... but I am easily confused with shoe sizes, specifically online. I've had DD measured a few weeks ago at StrideRite and she's a 5.5W. Recently I've been looking for rain boots and other shoes online for DD (at a variety of store and sites, not just StrideRite because SR is so expensive!).
I've looked at the chart on StrideRites website, and from what I understand there's you can have a toddler 6 and a big kid 6. https://www.striderite.com/striderite/pdfs/PDF_SimpleSizeGuide.pdf
But as I shop around on differant sites, sometimes its not clear if the shoes/boots are toddler sizes verus bigger kid sizes. And it seems like differant brands use differant terms (baby, toddler, girls, bid kid, etc), and some don't specify at all.
I'll spend 30 mins reading through reviews just to find one that says "Oh btw these are big kids size 6 not toddler size 6". Ok, great! Just wasted 30 mins and they're the wrong size 6!
I'd like to think that I'm not the only one confused by this!
Any tips or tricks?

At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid. Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth. If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP. My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!
Re: Help with shoe sizes online
ps - This wouldn't be an issue if more stores carried toddler rain boots! I haven't seen any in target or walmart! Target has some online but they are all sold out in her size.

Thanks! I'm glad I'm not the only one frustrated by this. If I was physically in the store, I know I'd realize oops these are huge! But online its not that simple!
@SJand VA - Target is the only website where I felt it was clear to say toddler versus big kid. I'm going to have to stalk target's website because all the tollder rain boots are sold out in her size. I could go up a size, but even those are sold out!
I like your suggestion about if the first size starts at 12/13 then 1,2, etc. I think that makes sence when that info is in the description. But most websites have the drop down and it automatically puts the drop down in numerical oder.
For example: I found some super adorable rain boots and rain jackets on Zulily. All the jackets are listed as "Infant, Toddler, and Kids", and the sizes make sence 1T, 2T, etc through size 10. But the boots are listed 1-13. Does that mean its Infant Size 1thorugh Toddler Size 12 and Big Kid 13? Or does it mean Big Kig 12/13 through Big Kid 1-7?

The kicker with Zulily is stuff in not returnable!
