Poor DD :(

Last night, DD was talking to XH on Skype and said "I wish I could jump through the screen right now!"

She's been doing a lot of "I wanna see Daddy" and "I miss Daddy" lately. Poor kiddo :( I feel bad for her, she's always been a daddy's girl and now that she's not angry at him anymore, she misses him </3

    He's coming again toward the end of the month, probably the weekend after Easter, so she will get to see him pretty soon. He was just here two weeks ago. I just feel for her, especially since she sees her cousins seeing their dad all the time (my sister's ex has them every other week, plus he lives a mile away so he drops by from time to time). Poor kiddo.

    You may be lucky...at 19 months he may not remember so much of the life when you and your XH were together so he might not miss it as much. But I hear you. Just knowing you're not the only divorcee or single mom in the world is a great way to calm your fears. :) That's what's great about this board!

    That's so so sad. I've been dealing with this all week. My 3 year old is crying for hours a day to see either his Daddy or his Poppy. He doesn't want me. The other day he opened our front door (it was chained so it only opened a few inches) and stood there with his coat on screaming for his daddy. Broke my heart. 

    This is all just breaking my heart.

    ::hugs:: @mrslynnyd. It gets better, I promise. My DD did some similar things when we first separated and XH moved out. Every so often she'll still pull one of those tricks out of her hat, and it's heartbreaking, but you do the best you can. 

    I read my DD a few books about divorce (DInosaurs Divorce, My Life Turned Upside Down But I Turned It Right Side Up) and those helped a lot.
