Hi ladies!!
Looks like Monday will be my last official day of bedrest so we'll need someone to take over the check-in's. If you're interested please let me know in your post or you can PM me if you have questions.
So.... how did you sleep?
Any new pregnancy symptoms, cravings, or aversions?
Upcoming appointments, milestones, or updates? (Ticker change?)
QOTD: How has br affected your career or your career plans? Will you still have employment after this pregnancy or are you going to be a stay at home mom?
Re: *** Thursday Bedrest Check-in ***
Last night I only slept for a couple of hours but then I passed out after my Dr's appointment so I feel pretty caught up on my sleep.
I just saw a commercial for a the cake batter blizzard from Dairy Queen.... wait for it.... in a waffle cone!!!! Lol now to find someone who really loves me who will bring me one lol
I received my last 17p injection today and on Monday the Dr will be removing my cerclage, then I'll be freeeee!!
QOTD: I haven't worked since March 2012 (that's when I started having complications with my first pregnancy). So, when we found out that I would have to be on bedrest we weren't too concerned about the finances since we had already been dealing with only one income. If everything goes well I'll start looking for employment again about 6 months after LO gets here.
I had DH run and pick up some Long John Silvers fish and fries. No idea why I wanted fish and fries out of nowhere.
Inching my way to 30 weeks. My next goal is April 23 at 32 weeks. Then ultimately end of May for 36/37 weeks.
QOTD: Knowing I could be high risk for a second pregnancy was one of the reasons DH and I waited until DS was almost 4 to TTC. We are lucky we never had any issues with getting pregnant. But we didn't pull the proverbial trigger until I was settled in my job so I knew I could get adequate short term disability if it was needed. I am very fortunate that I love my company, my job and most of my co workers.
I have been in constant communication with my bosses and they are worried to death about me and the baby. They are all vey supportive and want me to focus on me and staying pregnant. Total opposite of what I dealt with when I was on BR with my son 4 years ago at a different company.
DS #1 born January 2010. DS #2 due June 2014.
Sleep- I haven't slept well in almost a week now. It's wearing my patience thin at night.
Today, I had my last cervical ultrasound check at 24 weeks and it's holding it's own now:) My awesome MFM is still worried about preterm labor and 28 weeks is our next goal which is the end of this month! I like the countdown app on my phone to milestones. It's scary and strange to think in could have an April, May, June, or July baby. My Ob wanted a 2nd opinion from my MFM And it's decided unless something comes up I can have a vaginal birth:)
I'm so excited for you ladies that are getting close. Do you have names picked out?
As of work I am a 3rd grade teacher and I am burning 35 sick days and then the sick bank is picking me up for the remainder of this school year. Unfortunately, I was planning to take off with baby until Oct. But this is my maternity time now.
