I saw this earlier. Not gonna lie....this is the reason why my MIL did not come to any of my ultrasounds this time. She came to the 3d (as did my mom) with DS but we already knew he was a boy. MIL has expressed her displeasure in our being team green this time so nobody was allowed to go to any appointments with me except DH.

Wow. I'd not only report the u/s tech to the state (well, if they're board certified in any way), but I'd also report the practice as a whole, and sue both her and the practice for violating patient confidentiality rights. I have worked in a medical office, and an office/practice can't even confirm or deny whether someone is a patient/client. And, my MIL would cease to be a part of my life after that.

Can you divorce just the MIL? Doesn't she know not to fuck with pregnant ladies? Obviously this woman had no respect for anyone or anything.

No. Way. In. Fuck. My kid, my family, my body, etc. etc. etc. After the first hissy fit she threw, I wouldn't have even tried to placate her or allowed her at my appointments. She'd be cut out of my life, DH's life, and LO's life, and I'd be going after that tech's job.

Holy shit I would immediately cut that bitch off. Not only for what she did, but for her nasty comment too.

While my MIL would never do anything this nasty, she has done some VERY ego-centric things related to my pregnancy that just floor me.

I just don't understand the entitlement some grandparents feel when it comes to pregnancy. I find it totally bizarre.

I really hope that tech gets fired... From what it sounds like the mother didn't proceed legal action. That could not be the case with me. All of that could have been avoided if the tech did her job and kept her mouth shut
