What gets your kid into tantrum country faster than anything?
DS's is having things taken away. He's okay with things he knows he's not supposed to have (like my phone, or something breakable) and hands those over easily. But new things that he's never seen before? Oh man. He got his thumb stuck in a wooden stationary box this morning and was more pissed about losing the box than the injury to his thumb.

For Liam it's in the mornings when I drop them off with my parents and grandpa is not there to take him out of the carseat.
If we put on the wrong shoes/hats/shirt.
If we dare change their diaper.
If we try to brush their teeth.

Even a minor event in the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world event.
Asking if she wanted to play with her toys, watch cartoons, go outside, all made her go into hysterics.
Made her wear clothes outside...inconceivable! Ten minute tantrum before we finally made it outdoors. Twenty seconds later this happened. The cranky old neighbors were scandalized.
Not taking out the vacuum
Not letting him run the dog down with the swiffer
Insisting I eat MY food.
Returning the favor and stealing bites of his food.
