Pedicures

Anyone getting pedicures late in their 3rd trimester?  My feet need it!  But of course right as I was going to schedule an appt, there was a news segment on the dangers of pedicures and the risk of infections, etc.  Really don't need an infection this late in the game!  So, what are you guys doing??

    I got a pedi like a week before my due date because I wanted to have decent looking toes for delivery (silly, I know). I plan on getting a pedi about a week before my due date this time too. It was fun and relaxing. I think as long as you go to a good salon, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

    Get your pedicure. I really wish I had had the time when I was in the 3rd tri. Do it, it will be great!

    Yes on the pedi. They have been lifesavers for me. Do not shave your legs beforehand (microscopic tears in skin), reputable place, no cutting or blades of any sort and remind them to stay away from pressure points that could encourage labor.

    I'm planning on one. My EDD is a few days after my birthday so I've asked for a pedi as an early birthday present. I usually get it done at a spa. More expensive than a standard salon but it's clean and they do an amazing job.

    I just had one this weekend. It was heavenly. Just go to a reputable salon/spa.

    I've gotten a few but at really good places where they don't pull out the cheese grater and try to "upsell" it's use to you. The place I like even has individual vents to suck up fumes at each station it's pretty cool and always jam packed with over 20 pedi chairs.

    Go get one you deserve it. Just make sure the salon is clean and has a good reputation.

    I'll be getting one closer to due date but I do swear a pedicure had something to do with me going into labor with my second. They did an incredible leg massage, applying pressure to pressure points and all. Even an slight upper body massage upon drying! It was incredible!

    I'll be 38w 2d and I have scheduled pedis for myself and my Mom for her bday on the 11th. It'll be heavenly!!
