Ok silly FTM question I am sure. My lo is a great sleeper, at least 4 hour stretches. For naps we are working on not having to sleep on me. So I usually spend 2 hours trying to get him to go down then he naps for at least an hour and we do this twice a day. When he is awake I talk to him and make faces but his favorite thing is to be on his play mat batting at the toys and listening to music. He is perfectly content to sit and play by himself for almost an hour, 2 to 3 times a day. I feel really guilty not engaging with him during these stretches but when I try he will look at me for a bit but then just wants to play again and ignores me. So my silly question, should I try harder to engage him or just let him play as long as he is happy? Do any of you los fo this?
