I was at a mom and tots trade show and a dentist there said you should bring your kid in at 6 months. Can you believe that?!? I plan on bringing DD in when she is about 2 years old. She only has 4 teeth (and half a molar, and the corner of 2 other molars poking through). And DD has already been added to DH's health benefits.
I don't plan on bringing DS to the dentist until he is between 2 and 3. I did add him to my dental insurance though. It is more of a precaution. DS is all boy and has had many close calls already. I was worried that he would fall and chip a tooth or something else. I would rather have him on my insurance and not have to worry.

DD is on my dental insurance and has been since 3 months. However, she was born with a tooth so we are not the norm. :-) We went to get her tooth evaluated then. We also went to the dentist about a month ago since she already has all of her molars and our pediatrician recommended it.
