Going into the dentist this morning, DH told Aiden (the almost 4 year old) that if he had a great visit, maybe there'd be a surprise for him later. Aiden said "Maybe it's a clown in a box." Random but whatever, kids are random.
I came home tonight to an odd little package in our mailbox. It was hand made bday invitation from our friends. It was paper folded into a box with a lid and inside the box? A FUCKING CLOWN YOU GUISE.
He has not seen these people or talked to them. He doesn't go to school with the kid. He had zero idea this was coming. My brother told him to think really hard about a million dollars in a box lol But seriously. WTF??

Re: My kid freaked me the FUCK out
On a similar note, two weeks ago we got a package from the great-grandparents. DS looked at it and said "my train is in there". I didn't even think there was a gift for him in the box, but there was. And it was an effing train.
Kids are freaky as hell.
Holy crap

There’s a lightning in your eyes I can't deny
Then there’s me inside a sinking boat running out of time
Without you I'll never make it out alive
But I know, yes, I know we’ll be alright

I am no longer looking forward to my LO talking.
On a different note, I have read somewhere that children can see these things because they are innocent. apparently our sins cloud our vision. I do not know if that is true or not.
I pet sat my moms dog once a few years ago and the dog was originally my grandmothers before she passed, and she kept looking up at the ceiling in one corner of our room and barking. Well recently my lo looked up at the same corner and started waving. who knows.
slappalicious You mentioned seeing a dog and cat in your house. My first job out of high school was at the local SPCA, unfortunately it was not a no-kill shelter. When ever I went in I would always see flashes out of the corners of my eyes it always looked like a tail or part of an ear, and sometimes a whole shadow would run by.
Well while I was working there I fell in love with one dog, her back story she was starved and her collar was inbedded into her neck and she was found tied up at an abandon house. I use to get in so much trouble all the time for letting that dog out of her cage and follow me around certain parts of the building. Well I had to go somewhere and ended up being off for almost two weeks, When I came back she was gone I thought she had gotten adopted but instead she went a little loopy because no one played with her and I was told she got mean so they put her down. Later that day I was hosing out her old cage and I swear to you I saw her poke her head in to the cage and her tale wag like she was happy to see me, then she disappeared.
