I have one but I've only put ice in it. I see people mentioning banana...do you mash it up first or just put chunks in? What else have you out in it that your lo likes?
I tried grapes but she didn't quite get it. It's like they just rolled around, so then I cut them in half and she still wasn't getting it or wasn't interested.
Banana is incredibly difficult to clean out of them... all the little fibers get stuck and yeah it's gross. But I've put frozen breast milk, frozen apple chunks, frozen purees, ice, etc in them and he loves it all. Really likes the independence of feeding himself lol. It's great for teething.
I tried ripe pears. He sucked on it like there was no tomorrow, and he ate the whole slice. My kid is lazy, I had to hold it for him. I'm going to try the ice.
FWIW, I just give him a banana when I'm eating it.
@catskitch I've tried giving her banana but it gets so slippery she can't hold onto it! She will go to town on some cucumber or cantaloupe slices though. They're great for when her gums are hurting.

We just leave some of the peel on the bottom so it acts as a handle for him to hold onto.
Apples, watermelon, cantalope, strawberries. I've put all kinds if fruit in that sucker. He loves it. I do advise having him naked when doing red or purple fruit (like blackberries). It gets messy.

yea...lazy kid won't hold anything himself...I gave him a teething cracker, put it in his hand and he just banged it on the highchair table. I put it towards his mouth and he doesn't suck on it unless I hold it for him.
I usually do frozen banana for E. He loves it. They're a PITA to clean out though

I have silicone feeders, I got them on Amazon but can't remember the brand. Suuuuuper easy to clean and they sell replacements, plus it comes in two sizes (bigger holes for bigger kids).
Brilliant! Boon makes them, and so does Kidsme. Thanks for the idea!

I've mostly just used ours for banana. I tried mango once but it didn't work too well for some reason. If you use a bottle brush when washing it, that makes it easier to clean. Also, rinsing it right away helps, rather than letting it sit.
