Thank you card time

I had my baby shower this past Saturday. I was visiting my family in another state when it was held and just arrived back home today. I started working on cards tonight, but I'm not sure how long it's going to take me to finish. I want to make sure I get them out in an appropriate time frame.

When I googled it just said to get the cards out before the baby arrives. The thing is that I'm only 21 weeks pregnant (shower was held early because of how far I travelled) so baby won't be here for a good long time. I figured if I have the cards out within 2.5ish weeks of the shower I should be okay but I want to make sure this isn't taking too long?

    Just sit down and DO them.  Don't' worry about timelines that you found online.  Just sit down and rock them out.  If you do this, you'll have them out within a week - most likely.

    And, I have been to several showers where I did not recieve a thank you, so I just get stoked if I get one.

    Rule of thumb for wedding gifts (sent ahead of time) is asap, but within one week.  You may have a little more leeway because you're getting so many at once.

    I'm going to aim to get the cards out ASAP. Timing is just a little wonky because I just got home yesterday and my husband leaves tomorrow morning to go on a month long work thing. It takes me forever to write them out neatly and I have a good 30 cards to finish. Between work and taking care of the house alone I'm just having trouble carving out the time. With any luck I'll have an easy weekend and be able to get them done and have them out Monday. I'm just worried with everything going on that it might take longer :/

    I just got about half done today. I have a project due for school that I need to start but I should be able to have the thank yous done by tomorrow and out Monday. Guess I worried myself for nothing!
