I know I shouldn't, I know I'm bad, I know anything can happen ... but I couldn't resist a sneaky peek or two at the mall.
I'd LOVE to get this
MbyMJ, but IDK if I can justify the $300 price tag.

I also like this
Skip Hop:

And this
Timi and Leslie, which looks like the MbyMJ but doesn't have a zip (and purple is unisex, right? Right?):

Our family blog
I have a JJ Cole Satchel that I like a lot. My friend has that Skip Hop linked above and she really likes it too.

I also want my bag to be LIGHT ... I'm the world's worst overpacker (you would not believe what I can get into a Travelpro suitcase), so I need to compensate.

That's how my husband is! My diaper bag actually broke a couple months ago so I've just been using an old big purse... maybe I'll finally splurge and get a nice one for #3.

He was out of town and found some - didn't know which color I'd prefer - so he bought one of each and we just returned the extras today!

With DD, I let DH pick the diaper bag because I'll carry anything, and he won't. We have a DiaperDude messenger bag with skulls on it.
ETA: I do have a JuJuBe wristlet diaper bag that I used once I only needed to carry diapers and wipes and not all the other crap. It easily fits a couple of diapers, a thin pack of wipes, my wallet, a pouch or snack and some crayons. It now lives in the back of my car with an extra pair of pants, undies and socks for DD, in case of an accident while we're out.

BuyBuy Baby sells some really great diaper bags. If you put it on your registry, you can get it at a discount when you go to complete your registry. It's 20% off, right?

I don't think it's as high as 20% off. When I had DS in 2012, it was 10% off at Amazon and 10%-15% off at BBB and BRU. The discount is only worth it on exclusions (like Baby Jogger and I think Medela at one of those stores) but for everything else, I just used regular coupons.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like a downer. I had most of the essentials purchased either through 20% off coupons or through my shower. When it came time to use the completion coupon, I decided to just hold off and purchase any remaining items using $5 off $15 coupons or 20% off coupons as I get them. (I also have both BBB and BRU near me so I can use Bed, Bath, and Beyond coupons at both).
It is much easier to just use the completion coupon and get everything all at once though. I'm just super cheap and would rather get things as cheaply as possible even if it's more of a hassle.
