Baby Dreams

So I've been having really random rambling detailed dreams lately, everything from extreme couponing to saucy sexy dreams lol... But last night for the 1st time I dreamt about our baby!

I've been super stressed this last week (as I usually am the week before a Dr/Midwife visit since a lot can happen in a month) and hopefully we'll be getting a referral for our A/S tomorrow so we may be finding out soon!

Anyways I had a dream we had a little girl (which until we got pregnant I never even thought I wanted, I was always boyboyboy) and she had the name we want and she was cranky like me (lol) and was just perfect. And if life follows dream world I'll have a perfect short painless labor (haha!) anyways, it really changed my mood around. I woke up smiling!

Anyone else dreaming about their baby to be? Good dreams? Anxiety dreams? I want to hear all about them!

Re: Baby Dreams

  • I wish I was having dreams about baby. I keep having dreams my teeth fall out one by one, its awful.

I had those for so long! I had one where I clenched my jaw and my teeth exploded like a bomb. So unnerving. They say it's because you're worried about how others view you/you physical appearance... I say I didn't worry about that stuff as much until I worried about my teeth falling out constantly :( hope they stop soon!

  • I had a ton of dreams about labor, childbirth, and the baby when I was pregnant the first time around. They were always odd and totally random, but I think it was just my anxiety about the "unknown" surrounding being a FTM.

I've had a couple this time around. One was a very vivid, very realistic dream about finding out the sex, and one was just a normal, run of the mill "life with 2 kids" dream. It actually made me feel better because I am a little anxious about how this baby will fit into our life.

Dreams with teeth falling out can be about other anxieties too. It can be about feeling powerless, fear of being embarrassed, or just a general fear of worries. I definitely had this type of dream during some stressful times at an old job. Or it can be about nothing at all--if you don't believe in dreams having meaning :)

I had a dream about our baby recently too. It ended up being a girl and it was like a fast forward dream of her life and me seeing her, clear as day, as an adult. It was very eerie but not a bad dream.

  • Oh yes I've ha a few of these now.. The very first one, before I knew I was pregnant was that I have birth to a baby boy. I woke up and remember telling my husband and thinking how weird it was... 4 days later I got my BFP. Since then I've had another about a boy and a girl and like @MrsSchubmehl‌ just said it fast forwarded through their lives- the older a boy the younger a girl.

We found out Saturday were having a boy so.... Maybe I'm psychic ;) either way it was amazing to have sweet baby dreams
  • Not a baby dream, but a board related dream.... @23melissa28 I had a dream last night that your SO had a cramp in his hand that made it stay shut and he needed a shot to release it.....I woke up at like 1:30 and was going to get on and post it but figured it could wait :) I think I'm on here too much!

  • I really wonder if there's a correlation between these kinds of dreams and the 4th month!  This week for the first time I've have some similar dreams.  Last night I dreamt I had an easy breezy labor, was home with the baby quickly, and my husband was cooking dinner while I breastfed.  So vivid!  And so NOT what will happen, haha, my family has a long history of intense labors.  Anyway, also this week I had a dream about the Panorama results, also one about things not going well.  It's a mixed bag, and it freaks me out sometimes, but I think it's just all completely normal.
  • Shortly after we got the BFP I had a dream the baby was born but was the size of a 9 month old with teeth as a newborn. In the dream DH took him to a bar and was showing him off trying to get him to talk. I was so mad when I woke up! NO BABIES IN BARS! lol

Just found out we are having a girl, so clearly not a foreshadowing.

  • A couple nights ago I had the weirdest dream- I was giving birth in a hammock that my husband kept swinging really high. I was getting very pissed. & then I gave birth to a baby....& it slowly turned into a cat.
  • No baby dreams yet, which I am finding really strange. All through college I had pregnancy, labor, and baby dreams so I figured that once I got my BFP they would start all over again. I did have one very vivid dream back in late October, and was convinced that we were going to get our BFP later that month, but that obviously wasn't the case (which is fine since I ended up with you ladies on S14 instead!)

  • Funny thing this is the first thing that caught my eye when I got back on here today!  I just had a dream last night about my baby!! first dream in a long time during this pregnancy.  First in my dream I dreamt that I did the drano test, when i did it it turned dark brown and i was laughing and smiling and saying yay its going to be a boy!  lol... then the next part of the dream i was at my dr office getting gender ultrasound and she immediately said well, its a boy!  and i was smiling so big! I woke up smiling from this dream too!  So, then after I woke up a bit and got dressed I decided to try the drano test today with my friend!  lol the weirdest thing ever is that it turned dark brown like in my dream... so crazy!!!  I hope my dream becomes reality because i want a boy bad!  Dont you love baby dreams they are so amazing!
  • I had a dream the other night that I was at my ultrasound and saw that baby was obviously a boy. We're not finding out the sex, but it does make me wonder if I'll find out accidentally at my next ultrasound.
  • I have been having weird dreams but not about the baby. DH hit me in the face last night because he was dreaming someone was kidnapping me and the baby(we had a girl in his dream) and he was like sleep fighting.

  • I had a dream a few weeks ago that I had a baby girl. DH kept telling me how I'd almost died during delivery but I didn't remember any of it. After 2 days I finally remembered to try feeding her.

RE Relisha Rudd, the girl missing from DC - none of the local coverage I've seen has said much about her mother or why she left the girl with Kalil Tatum. Just this week though, they searched the acquatic gardens bc they thought he might have dumped her there, but ended up finding his body instead.

  • I've had such crazy vivid dreams since I got pregnant, but only 1 had baby in it (and it was a boy and Im having a girl). It was about halfway through my first trimester when I was extremely sick and not enjoying pregnancy at all or feeling any connection to the baby. I dreamed that the baby was born and I felt nothing for it, didn't even want to hold it. It was terrible. Obviously it was a manifestation of the fears I was having then. Luckily I'm feeling so much better now and totally emotionally involved with the baby. I'm more worried now that I'll never want to put her down.
