So the other day I half-jokingly told Reese the Easter Bunny was hopping over our house this year. She is 2 and a half, so that didn't phase her and looked at me and said: "okay mommy."
But seriously, I have NO clue what DH and I should put in her basket. The two things she wants are way too expensive for Easter in my eyes (as a single item)--plus, Reese knows they are too expensive and insists that she will get them for her birthday. We were actually at Toys R Us contemplating picking the smaller of the two up for her--the Octonauts pod, and she refused to get it because it was too expensive and not her birthday.
Anyway, so she has every single arts and craft thing ever made, enough crayons/markers/coloring books to open up a Crayola factory, an absurd amount of puzzles, bubbles, etc.
Due to her egg and peanut allergies, there isn't that much candy that we could put in there.
I need some major help!
Re: PR Easter Basket ideas
Edit: I suck at reading and writing.
Last year Beau got maracas, a train whistle, toothbrush, toothpaste, a kite, socks, sunglasses, jellybeans, playdough, stickers, and sidewalk chalk shaped like eggs.
These were small enough to fit into a basket last year, though. Not sure if that'll happen again this year.
I hope you guys have an amazing Easter. It is apparently the season for great new things!! You deserve it!

Another year we played warmer/cooler to find the basket, another time the plastic eggs had combination of coins or scavenger hunt clues to help you gind your way to the basket/present. Those were always fun.
Red vines or other gummy candy if you want to give junk food. Jewelery or music box (wind up style), harmonica or kazoo, Piggy bank at the end of a trail of coin filled eggs (then she could save up towards her expensive item / provide matching funds). Books, outdoor play equipment, age appropriate board game or deck of cards (i.e
go fish, old maid, crazy 8s), new set of sand toys. Empty photo album with inexpensive camera (are they still doing poloraoids? or regifted older camera) and stickers to decorate.
This year I got them some tradeable fatheads (hockey figures that cling to their wall, though they have a ton of different ones, not just sports). I got some sidewalk chalk and a frisbee. I also picked up a book and bathing suit for one child, need to find something for the other still, he isn't into "character" stuff anymore and is more picky so I am not sure what sort to buy. I think I might also throw a summer outfit in there...again, something I will need to buy anyway.
