We did not have a baby shower so we have tons of friends and family wanting to come visit for a while. DH and I would rather just throw one large gathering for everyone and get it done that way than have guests over every other weekend.
I need ideas, so if you were planning a Sip and See for the baby:
1. What kind of themes can we have? e.g. What will baby be when he grows up? Things to see in this world etc.
2. How can the party be fun for adults as well as their kids who are mostly toddlers? E.g. Karaoke?
3. Things we could do that will be good memories for the baby e.g put up a photo booth, ask people to write something in a time capsule?
4. Any special party recipe that you don't mind sharing like themed cookies, finger food, special drink mixes?
I just want to make it nice fun party, do things that cost little but mean more. We will probably do it on our building terrace with catering from Subway or Pizza Hut (unless I find a reasonable caterer), cake and some hard drinks. Would love to hear your ideas as this will literally be my first party with adults and kids.
Re: Please help me plan a Sip and See party :-)
Id have some finger foods or do some hotdogs.
For the toddlers at A. Birthday party we did a treasurer hunt. I got a tote filled it with corn cob chips (safe if consumed) filled it with prizes from the dollar tree gave them cooking spoons and let them dig. Huge hit!
The main thing is everyone wants to see the baby and that is all everyone's going to care about.
