When will labor start???

I'm 39 weeks, 3 cm dilated, 90% effaced, and the baby is very low. So when is this show going to start already? It's not that I want to rush things, it just drives me crazy being so close but not knowing when things will actually get going. The Doctor said because my cervix is so ripe any amount of pressure will help me to dilate quicker so I've started taking walks in the evening. Any experienced Mom's have guesses on when I might "go"?

    There is no way to tell and the state of your cervix is not a good indicator. You'll just have to wait it out like everyone else :)

    The state of your cervix is no indication of when labor will begin. There really is absolutely no way to make that guess for you, otherwise I'd be happy to help. It will more than likely happen on it's own within the next week and a half or your Dr will let you know when he schedules your induction!

    Don't we all wish it was this easy.

    I'm going to give you some advice though; end of pregnancy is a HUGE lesson in patience it's good prep for having a newborn and having life run on their time. Embrace all the uncertainty as hard as it is. Plan things to look forward to each day and just be. Easier said then done, I know!
