@ugabamafans‌ I think you have every right to be upset. I would definitely question their change in your care and monitoring. I agree with pps, can you contact the doctor who initially told you about your weekly appts, NSTs, etc?

Ok check out this freaky shot. She is staring right at us with her eye wide open. DH says she looks like Big Baby from Toy Story...Dr. agrees. She is literally a big baby est. 3.2lbs at 28weeks...advised to reduce caloric intake to avoid a c-sect. Oopsie.

@ugabamafans I'm so sorry! Ditto the PP that suggested you get ahold of the original doc and see why they are changing the plan now. IMO, you and baby come first, even if that means you have to be a little pushy. Sorry the hospital tour didn't go well, also - what did you dislike about it?

@ugabamafans you have every right to be upset and as a patient, you deserve an explanation that you are comfortable with. This isn't a hormone thing, IMO. If you feel too emotional now, you can always go home and call the office and ask to speak to someone later.

I'm in the waiting room for my appt. now. It feels like I haven't been here in forever!

@ugabamafans I'd be just as mad and hormonal as you are and would demand to speak to the original doctor that told you you'd be monitored more closely. I wouldn't feel bad switching practices if I didn't get any promising answers very soon. Good luck to you and I hope this mess clears up asap!

I have my 30 week appointment at 11:30 am CST with an ultrasound and follow-up appointment. LO's been measuring small so I now get ultrasounds every 2 weeks to make sure the placenta is feeding the baby. Hoping LO grew!

I had an appointment today as a follow up from my high blood pressure and 24 hour urine collection. The urine collection came back fen (no preeclampsia! yay!) but my BP is still a little high. So now I have to go in 2 times a week for NSTs until baby is born. I can deal with that.

I also had a growth ultrasound today and she looks perfect!! She is 3lbs6ozs. We got the most adorable photo of her face and I think she looks just like my hubby! Soooo cute!

had my 1hr gd test this am and they were out of red. boo. baby was measuring ahead at last check, so i have been more nervous about gd this pg than in the past. i used a home monitor after my lab pull (like a nutter) and was well within normal, but i won't see the ob until next wed so fingers crossed!

28w appointment went well. Measuring on track and everything looked great.

Switching to two week appointments and I have a growth u/s in a few weeks - yay!

We received good news this at this 30 week appointment. The u/s showed that LO had gained 14 oz so that puts LO at 2.15 lbs. This is still under average but above the 10th percentile. My fundal height is measuring about a centimeter small. We will not have an ultrasound at the next appointment which actually makes me happy.

Hope everyone else's appointments went well too!

My appointment went well today, the glucocrush wasn't bad at all. My 1 hour check was only 77. I'm measuring 30 weeks, so only a week ahead. Blood pressure was great but with the reading I had earlier in the pregnancy we will be going to weekly appointments with NSTs starting at 32 weeks, and growth ultrasounds at 32, 36. Then I traded in my Christmas gift from DH for a mommy pampering day, enjoyed a massage and a gel mani. Feeling relaxed and spoiled!

Update! I passed my three hour glucose tolerance test so no GD for me, great news. Also my arm friggin hurts! damn Rhogram shot.

We had a 27 week ultra sound today just to check growth ect everything went great she is weight 2.5 PDs in the 60% dr says we right on track whitch makes me feels great being diabetic always scared she going to gain a bunch fast anyways here is a pic of that sweet face can't get enough of her

glad to see everyone's appointments are turning out ok! i had a checkup today and everything is going great. i had to have a whooping cough shot though and everyone who is going to be around baby boy has to have one. anyone else have this yet? apparently whooping cough is making a come back especially in so cal.

So I just spent three hours at mine today...

I'm 29w2d

I had just got done saying "This has been a wonderfully boring pregnancy," when the midwife found an arrhythmia in the baby's heart with the doppler. So they sent me right up to the childbirth center so they could take a closer look on the heart monitor. I was hooked up for almost two hours and they confirmed she does have an arrhythmia... Her heartbeat is skipping. It was very clear to hear, but didn't really show up on the monitor (so she said).

They're trying to get me in to the cardiologist for a fetal echocardiogram tomorrow or Friday.

My boyfriend's all upset, so I'm trying to stay calm. Typing this out is actually making me feel more emotional about it. The midwife says most of the time they correct themselves before the baby's born, she thinks this one isn't a big concern but they're sending me anyway to be sure.

I just hope her little heart is ok. There were no concerns with her heart at the 20w ultrasound, so we're just wondering what changed. I hope to get more answers, well, hopefully tomorrow but by Friday at least.

So for those that know what I've been going through, I had to go to the neurologist today. Good news is that they don't think I am having seizures. May have had one but only one and that's not enough to risk the health of LO to put me on meds which I'm fine with. They think it is probably just what cardio said and baby is laying on IVC vein. Badnews is that I can't drive!!!! To the store and back is ok but no more than that!!!
