We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm. 8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy. We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET. I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.
11/14/14 - Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.
12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2
12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)
1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2
****All Welcome!****
We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.
Re: TTT
2. C is getting her teeth cleaned as we speak. I finally made a dentist appointment for her. Yesterday we had a consultation and establishment visit. Today she is getting her first cleaning in years. In two weeks she is getting some things fixed. She has a lot of anxiety related to the dentist and she is doing well so far.
3. I have decided to check into counseling and yoga. There is a yoga class tomorrow night that I am hoping to be a part of.
4. A close coworker had three tumors in her brain discovered two months ago. I may have mentioned it before. Well, now another has developed. They also found one in her lung, by her spine and another in her upper left thigh. She is such a wonderful lady. She is pushing forward with treatment. I hope a miracle happens for her. It definitely can put things in perspective.
5. I think CD 1 is going to be today. I hope. I'm ready to get this party started again.
6. I never thought we would be looking at financing for IVF. Hopefully we won't have to. I'm ready to go there if we need to though.
7. The dental hygienist asked if we were sisters or friends. I went back with C for moral support. C quickly corrected her
8. It is supposed to be a beautiful day today. I'm looking forward to it further lifting my spirits.
9. I jumped in on the Trouble TTC board last night. I'm glad I did. I think maybe I was in denial about how well I have really been doing throughout this whole process.
10. Why do hot drinks from Tim Hortons have to be so hot? It takes forever for them to cool down to the point that you can drink them without burning your tongue/mouth.

We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.
1. The sun coming in through the curtains woke me up this morning which was a welcome surprise because since Friday it has been rain and sleet and no sun at all.
2. My best friend and I are having Grasshoppers tonight a local vegan restaurant I am excited for that I love there "No Name"
3. On the above note I am eating so unhealthy lately. I know I need to start fueling my body with healthy foods again.
4. I go back to work on Friday I am a little anxious about that.
5. I have been on a search for curtains for the living room window. I have yet to find anything I like and Reva's taste is so different then mine so once I do find something I feel like she won't like it.
6. I have a pot of coffee waiting upstairs and wish one of my dogs had thumbs so they could bring me down a cup rather then me getting up to get a cup.
7. Wow I just realized how lazy #6 made me sound.
8. *TMI warning* I am so tired of bleeding since leaving the hospital 6 weeks ago there has been less then 10 days that I haven't been bleeding although I think that last time I thought I got my period I was wrong but fx this time I actually have it so I can get regular again.
9. On the above note if this is my period I may do my next IUI in June first I need to call the RE and see what the next step is as far as do I continue with just calling on day one of my period or if I need to come in and get more testing done prior to inseminating again.
10. I am going to go get that cup of coffee now.

IUI#3 6/10/14 BFP beta #1 276 beta #2 722 20w A/S shows we are having a girl
1. 31 weeks today!
2. I bought a dress to wear to our baby shower over the weekend. It isn't what I had in my mind that I wanted, but it is cute, and my wife says she likes it. I bought it a size up from what I tried on. The size I tried on fit just right, but my shower isn't until April 26th, and well I am expecting a good deal of belly growth between now and then, so.... At any rate, that is one thing off of my "list."
3. We also booked a newborn photo session for baby girl yesterday. We weren't originally going to do this, since my wife has a pretty serious photo hobby and lots of professional equipment and could likely take some stellar photos on her own... however, after giving it some thought she decided she didn't want the pressure of having to be mom and photographer, and she wanted the opportunity to be involved/included in some of the pics. So we went with a photographer recommended by a friend who seems to do beautiful work. I am excited!
4. I have fallen off of the cooking wagon again. I keep trying to motivate myself, but it isn't going well. I cooked so much in the 2nd tri, and really up until just about a week ago, and now I am just dragging and being lazy. I can't decide if I should push myself or cut myself slack.
5. It's normal to panic about money right before you have your first baby, right? I feel the need to hoard every penny that we have right now "just in case" (in case of what I don't know), and my wife is feeling the need to buy things as we nest and get our house ready for baby. I know we need to buy some more things (though we have already bought a lot), but I am obsessing a little about being frugal and pushing back on the things she wants to buy. I feel badly because I know for her the nesting is making her feel more involved and closer to baby, and I want to encourage that. I just want to encourage it on a budget. A very small budget.
6. So our "marathon birthing class" as I am affectionately calling it, is this coming Saturday all day. And guess what I am currently fretting about? What to wear to it! Yep, I am not kidding. In all seriousness though, should I wear yoga-type clothes (will there be lots of getting in positions, etc. where I will want to not be in jeans?)... or should I try to look nice and wear my nicer maternity jeans and dressier top? I know... this is silly. But these are the things that I think about. I am also anxious about being the only lesbian couple there (I don't know for a fact that we will be, but I am assuming), and I just really want us both to feel comfy and hope that the instructor uses inclusive language, etc. If we have to sit through 9 hours of "Now Dads...." I think we both will not be happy campers.
7. My wife has to work late tonight. I am bummed. I am used to her always being home when I get there lately.
8. We are trying to pick an area rug for the room that will be our playroom. It is turning into quite the task. We can't seem to agree to save our lives, which is weird because we have agreed on everything else for that room so far. I also am being a bit thrifty and don't want to go for any of the more expensive rugs that my wife keeps suggesting. However, I also just want to hurry up and get something. So we shall see who wins on this one...
9. I am thinking a lot about @2mamazinseattle's Dad and @ATXmommas' Mom... I hope both are doing OK. Sending lots of positive thoughts and hugs to both of you.
10. So I am going to end with a PIP. Our glider that we bought for the playroom (the nursery is too small to accomodate a big glider, so we decided to put it in the playroom downstairs) was delivered on Saturday and I love it! It is so comfy and looks so nice in the room. PIP attached!

2. I need a vacation in the worst way...(see number 1!)
3. I want to start doing yoga..I feel like it's going to be a huge stress reliever and I totally need that...(see number 1!)
4. I miss California and the beautiful beaches. I used to spend hours laid out soaking up the sun.
5. I have dreams about what our baby will look like and picture him/her running around the house with my neices and nephews...its my favorite dream to have.
6. Pregnancy scares me...like really really scares me!!!! (is that normal being that I have a ridiculous amount of baby fever?)
7. I loved the guinea pig photos and now I totally want one!! (thanks @themommymonster )
8. I have been married for almost 7 months! (on the 3rd) and I have no idea where the time is going. I thought the two weeks leading up to the wedding were never going to be over and now we are over halfway to a year!
9. I totally wish I was in asleep in bed with my wife right now.
10. I need a huge Starbucks!!!!
Most of that was a vent of a ridiculously stupid morning so thanks for letting that happen...I hope everyone has a great day... by the way @KH826 I just noticed that you got your BFP on my birthday last year so thats pretty cool!
2. One of my work colleagues drives me nuts, even moreso because I put a ton of work into that position previously and I feel like the foundation I built has eroded over the past few months... argh.
3. I am also hoping the person mentioned above doesn't get my contract over my mat leave. That would drive me nuts. I'm pretty sure I don't have any control over that though - do I?
4. I hate April Fools day.
5. My right-click button my my mouse isn't working. That drives me CRAZY!
6. I'm getting nervous about handling work and pregnancy over the late summer. I can't imagine walking around in the heat with a huge body, retaining water, and my asthma. Not sure how to plan for that, but the 3rd tri thread on the multiples board these days is scaring me.
7. We got some good news today that I'm SO EXCITED for!!!!!!!!!
8. We'll be 10w tomorrow, which is just mind-boggling to me. Countdown is on for another week to see the Rockies again.
9. We're going to visit H's family next weekend one last time before the pregnancy gets too far along for me to travel. I'm looking forward to the trip and to visiting there in the spring!
10. I have to do stats and write reports today at work. Boo! The most hated part of my job!

We lost our beautiful Twin baby girls on June 18, 2014. Tavin Sara and Casey Elizabeth were born at 21 weeks gestation and were absolutely beautiful, precious, amazing babies. We miss our daughters every day and love them with all our hearts.
2. Spring seems to be coming to Toronto. It's not green here, yet, but the snow is mostly melted!
3. I spent way too much time yesterday reading reviews of the Joovy Roo Double Car Seat Stroller and the Baby Trend Double Snap and Go trying to decide which would be a better choice for us. The Multiples board is almost unanimous in preferring the joovy roo, but the joovy roo isn't sold in canada yet and has only a few car seats that will work with it and all of those car seats are really expensive in Canada. (And apparently Transport Canada wants you to buy your carseats in Canada ...)
4. I know that it's still early for us to be so focused on baby purchases, but we're going to have a very busy May and June and time is flying and we don't know how early the babies will come (hopefully not very early!) and we want to buy as many things used or on a great sale as we can.
5. The dog is currently chewing on an empty (but not rinsed out) ranch dressing bottle. This seems to be the best toy ever in mind because as she breaks it open more and more she gets some ranch dressing.
6. I guess the dog and I share a love of ranch dressing.
7. I've got laundry and an oil change on my plate today in addition to grading papers. We're going to Niagara Falls this weekend for a day to visit my brother who is taking a mini vacation there and then as M mentioned the following weekend we head to Chicago. We're long overdue for an oil change.
8. I'm also very excited about the news to which M refers. We can't share it yet, but will soon hopefully.
9. I love Diet Coke. I realize that it is most likely horrible for me. I quit it a couple different times, including while I was growing my eggs. But I'm back on it now until I start pumping for induced lactation.
10. I'm excited for 10 weeks tomorrow! I wish we had an ultrasound this week. I'm looking forward to next week's. I hope things are all good then.
We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.

1. I went to my cousin's baby shower on Saturday. I had been feeling a bit bitter since she announced she was 10 weeks pregnant right when I got my BFP but having experienced two losses, I definitely could not announce yet. She wasn't trying and it just happened before she and her husband were ready. Ah to be young, straight, and fertile. Anyways, the shower was very nice. It was good to see my family.
2. We took the plunge and traded in K's civic for a CRV on Sunday. 2 rear facing infant bucket car seats were not going to happen in a civic. They (Britax B-Safes) fit beautifully with room to spare in the CRV and it's a super cute car. We realize a mini van is in our future but we were not ready to go that far yet. I drove the CRV around running errands while I was off work yesterday and loved it, but it's back to my trusty Prius today for work.
3. Who was it on here who recommended Thyme maternity by BRU? I got an order yesterday of 4 pants and 2 shirts (all total under $60!!) and everything fits beautifully and is nice quality.
4. @healz413 you sound like K and I with the early shopping. We have the mindset that the twins could come early and I may have to go on bed rest so let's get the shopping done now. We started hitting baby consignment sales by around week 10 and we have maintained a decent shopping list since week 8. I completely understand your early purchase of the city mini gt double, which currently stands out as by far the most expensive thing on our registry. We test drove that, the mountain buggy double, bumbleride double, and BOB double at buy buy baby and while we loved the bumbleride it was about $300 more than the city mini gt. Congrats on getting it at a discount!!
5. @Manada and @healz413 what is this big news? I'm so curious!
6. @StacyLH24 yes, being out at the dentist. This is actually one of the places K and I go to separately but are most clearly out and married. I had a dentist appointment 3 weeks ago and K had one the next day and I was so happy when she said they congratulated her on our pregnancy. But maybe it's different with us and doctors since I currently carry our insurance and I can only do that if we are married, so that outs us right away.
7. I've been searching online for the right glider/rocker and I'm not thrilled with the standard offerings. @kh826 I love the one you found! Very nice!
8. @themommymonster could baby guinea pigs be any cuter?
9. I have used up most of my 10 things responding to the 10 things of others since not a whole lot is going on. It's a very slow quiet day here at work because the whole office was required to go on a road trip today and tomorrow to our sister site up north. I can't do lengthy car rides like that and got a doctors note from the OB. It's going to be a very nice "work" day here in my quiet office
10. Tonight K and I go to a comedy benefit for trans youth. Very excited to see Tig Notaro! But not excited to stay up late on a work night. I feel old. And pregnant.

@healz413& @manada - I too am curious about your good news! I can't wait until you can share. Good news is always welcome!
@2momsinCA - I was the crazy lady raving about Thyme Maternity wear from BRU. Glad you got a good deal and like your stuff
Also, our glider is also from BRU... we had it special ordered though because we wanted a different fabric and color piping than what they offered in the store. It only took about 4 weeks to get it from when we ordered it. It is super comfy and it rocks, glides and swivels! I highly recommend it

1. Day #2 of my healthy, higher-protein eating plan is going well! I REALLY want sweets though. They are not off the table, but I am trying to limit them A LOT.
2. A milkshake sounds great. Too bad they make excellent ones across the street from my office.
3. My cousin's baby is going to be born today! Well, I assume so -- they are inducing her today. Her water broke at 27w and she has been in the hospital on bed rest since then. They were waiting until 34w, which is today, to induce or do a C-section. I'm so excited for them and hope he is born healthy and strong!
4. I really want a manicure (and a pedicure, for that matter), but I can't seem to get it together to go get one.
5. @healz413, I feel you on the ranch dressing. Smart dog!
6. Work has been slow. Once in a while that's a nice thing, but after a while slow = boring and boredom makes me snacky. Not compatible with healthy eating plan (see #1).
7. I need a new sports bra but I'm not sure what to buy that will accomodate growth and be supportive. If anyone who has been there has any advice, send it over here! (Maybe my pregnancy/nursing bra guru @ATXMommas?) I guess I probably don't need to go as supportive as I usually do, since I won't be running in it (for running I pretty much only buy Moving Comfort cause I want those puppies STRAPPED DOWN); this is really for walking and yoga.
8. We have a half-bath off of our kitchen, and last night our cat got up on the toilet (it was closed) and sat there for about 15 minutes watching us cook. I've never seen her do that before. Weirdo.
9. Totally screwed up the time of my therapy appointment today. Whoops.
10. I feel like I have too much planned this weekend. I like lots of lying-around time these days and I'm worried I didn't leave enough room!

2. We're meeting EV at an Indian buffet for lunch - yummmmm!!!!
3. We received a picture of the "baby cousin to-be" at 6w 6d. Our in laws saw the heartbeat too. I'm keeping everything crossed the pregnancy is filled with many positive milestones. I can't get over being so excited for them & our families.
4. @kh826 I love your glider too. One of my biggest purchasing regrets was getting a cheaper glider from
amazon. I can't tell you how many times I fell asleep in the glider while nursing and woke up with a stiff neck :-(.
@themommymonster - those little guinea pigs are so adorable.
5. I'm meeting a fellow bumpie this Friday :-). Looking forward to it!! Now to tackle Kaden's cold so we can be in the clear for Friday's outing.
6. I'm super tired.
7. We had a great appointment with our midwife yesterday. Baby is now in a great position head down with his back turned to my left (which I guess makes for an easier spiral turn through the birth canal). E the midwife we met with has attended more than 500 births. She said the baby feels like he's about 6lbs which means an 8lb baby in 4 weeks - woohoo (since Kaden was 9.5lbs).
EV's been reading the Birth Partner and she turns to me the other day and says, since Kaden's head was the biggest our midwife R had ever seen (I think it was 15cm). And he was born with his arm up - that I had to dilate to 5+" (10cm is 4") to birth him. So if Owen keeps his arms down he should just "fall right out". Lol. It's a nice thought so I'm going to go with it!
8. We had a movie night this weekend. Kaden helped make popcorn, and we watched Frozen. Which turned out to be pretty good.
9. My BFF is coming to visit next week. Now that baby Owen is no longer breech, the birth supplies are ordered, and the major baby stuff has been unpacked/ put away I feel like I can relax and be excited for the visit!!
10. EVs trying to offer me an out for our lunch date since Kaden's sniffly, I have to text her back - no way!! I'm looking forward too it :-)
@KH826 - thanks for thinking about my mom. She's out of the hospital and recovering well. They were able to find out what happened. She has a hole somewhere in her heart (apparently this affects 1/3 of the population) that does increase her risk; however, it is quite manageable. My mom was taking baby aspirin daily, but had to quit when she has cataract surgery recently. That, combined with traveling for several hours in a car, probably led to the mini-stroke. They have advised her to start taking regular aspirin daily. When traveling, she will double the dose, wear compression socks, and get out and walk every hour or two. Her speech still sounded a little off to me yesterday, but it should resolve in time.
2. @ball.and.chain - I'm glad I'm useful for something!
It is adjustable three places. Like a typical bra, the band and the straps are adjustable. It also is adjustable In the front. The mesh looking part in the front is adjustable up or down, so the cup size is adjustable. The hooks like like those found on a bra with detachable straps. It's definitely more coverage than I'm used to (not that I've been running around in just a sports bra lately), but I think it works well for adjustments in size as well as providing good support.
Happy Tuesday, all!
@healz413 - I read through your comment and said to myself, I won't belong on PAIF...I don't have infertility issues. Denial much....oye! I guess it is time to hop into reality and deal. Maybe tomorrow...
I did feel much better after I actively became a part of the TTTC board though. Trying to keep up with two active boards during the day, when I'm really not supposed to be bumping at all, proves to be difficult.
@themommymonster - Thank you! She needs all the thoughts and prayers that she can get. Also, love the guinea pigs! Thanks for sharing with us.
@2momsinCA - I still am not out at my dentist. It was easy with C's office because she is a new patient and I carry the insurance. She wouldn't have made the appointment herself, so I just did it and am matter of fact about it. I may switch offices because now we're already out there, which is easier to be honest. The one I go to seems to be getting bogged down with clients anyway.
@CageyMack - Thank you. Good luck to you both as well.
