Games at Birthday Party?

Is anyone doing any type of games for the kids at the your LOs birthday party?  I'm just thinking of all the nieces and nephews at the party.  I was also thinking about getting a bounce house but LO would not even enjoy it, it would be for the other kids.  I'll be having kids from ages 1 year to 8 years old attending the party.

I think we are just doing pin the tail on the Cheshire Cat, it's Madison in onederland like mad hatter stuff. But I also thought about flamingo croquet and white rabbit sack race. I'm not sure yet though, I am doing the photo booth with little props.

I thought about doing games, but I just went to a first birthday party this weekend (with kids of all ages) and they seemed to pretty much entertain themselves the entire time. The cake and present opening was all the activity they needed. I'm already stressing myself out over all the other details, so I don't think I need to add another thing to my list for this one!

I know I haven't even bought a thing or started planning...well, I've brainstormed alot in my head, lol.  I have alot going on at work and with family so I'm stressing over that as well!
We are having it in our backyard and we don't have outdoor toys so I just keep thinking the other kids will get bored.  The only thing I thought of was a "color a bug" station (LOs theme will be ladybug) so I could do some bug printables with crayons. It would be something that wouldn't take much effort.

  • We are having a pretty relaxed party. We decided not to have a bounce house this year. We will have a pinata and play a few classic birthday games. Pin the tail on the donkey or a monster version, hot potato or freeze dance. The kids like them and they are quick and easy. We can decide on the day if we need to do them or not.

Most of the time the kids will do their own thing. We will have lots of stuff around for them to play with.

( Sorry I don't know how to make the accent thing in pinata)

I forgot about doing a pinata, see I am so behind in planning the party.  I will probably have a pinata as well.

  • Nug will be the only kid at her party, so no.

  • I'm not doing any games but I bought some bubbles for the kids. They will all be quite young. I got yellow and pink bottles to match the decorations.

  • it's underwater themed so I'm going to put the little mermaid on the tv and maybe have a ball pit. All the babies her age will likely play with her toys and i only have like 2 older kids coming ( my nephews) and they can invent games with anything. I just don't want the parents coming to feel obligated to force their kids to play an organized game. It will be free play the whole time. hopefully the weather is good and i'll set up a water table.

  • My mom is helping me plan my party and she bought a piñata. I plan on put noise makers and stickers and stuff in goody bags.  If you want to play games one of my favorites growing up (and I think my mom invented it) if you have older kids coming is get some silly string and balloons draw faces on balloons and they have to give them hair (or if you are having a mustache party a mustache and bow tie) with the string. I do not remember how my mom judged are "art" but it was fun.

Our neighborhood is full of kids with parents who want to put things to use. One family gave us a small roller coast that the toddlers can go on. Next door has a trampoline for the older kids. One dad said he bought a big bouncey house that his kids didn't use so he will bring that over. It's a combo of my husbands graduation party and R's birthday so we have adult beverages being serves which upped our coolness and everyone wants to come and unload something
    from their garage.

Eta because served and severed are not the same.
