Noooo not that kind...

I'm noticing I'm severely lacking in the toy department for this LO. We have a playmat and a few small toys but that's about it. Before I go out and randomly search, what are your favorite toys for your LOs?

Feel free to include ones that are appropriate for now and for more like 3-6 months. Bonus for toys that grow with them.

Right now we only have two activity gyms and a sassy rattle.

One of the gyms kinda has lights and a mirror, LO loves to look at himself in the mirror lately. The second one as things that hang down so that in the future he could potentially grab them.

Our LO loves things that light up and play music. He has a Weeble that plays music when you hit it that he likes. He also likes the rings that you can hook together or hook on things to grasp and chew on. Mostly he just bats at the toys on his play mat and bouncy seat bar.

Those stacking cups are awesome and cheap. Mega blocks. Sophie the giraffe. FP Rainforest Jumperoo. Busy ball popper.

Here is a link to the Baby Cheapskate "Toys that get played with" for ages 6-12 mos. I agree with most items here. Don't have them all but I know that my kids enjoyed them at other peoples house!

Does the ceiling fan count!? Lol I have a few cheap toys like rattles. His current flavor of the week is a stuffed catapilar from dollar tree. He loves that thing.

Another vote for Lamaze toys. Ds especially loved Freddie the Firefly but he had a bunch of them.

We put this Fisher Price Snail on the floor next to DD. She likes to look at herself in the mirror, and sometimes her hand will hit the snail and make it play music/light up. It was DS's when he was a baby, and when he started crawling it was fun because it rolls and he could chase it.

All 3 of mine have loved the Bright Starts Tug Tunes animals. And the music is so much less annoying than most...

My first two LOVED this one. My 2.5 year old still likes to run around the house with it. The main part on the front with all the toys pops off with the push of a button so you can lay it on the floor to play when when they're a baby.

What is up with the ceiling fan fetishes? My LO LOVES our fans. I can't figure it out because my understanding (based on online reading) is that they can only see about a foot in front of their faces

That's what I thought, too, but it's obvious he can see further. We went so far as to install one in his room so now there's one in almost every room now.
