What ticked you off today?

Okay...just have to vent a second. I was talking to my coworker about how interesting my third trimester with twins might be (I'm only 12 weeks along), as far as being winded, tired, etc. Her response? "Oh, well, you know, it's mind over matter...if you think you are going to be exhausted then you will be". REALLY?!

So either I'm overly emotional or that just really ticked me off. Yep, I'm gonna be carrying around 10+ pounds of babies and who knows how many extra pounds of weight, but as long as I don't think I'm going to be tired, then I won't be. And the girl has never been pregnant before. GRRRRR....sometimes I wish people would just say "you'll get through it" and move on.

Ugh, someone save me from myself or these next six months and beyond are gonna be ugly!!!!

So am I overreacting on this?

  • Oh I hear ya...this happened on my Facebook wall yesterday, and I know I was overreacting, but it ticked me off for multiple reasons...First, the "little one" comment just because I'm a FTM.  Second, the woman that posted it, the woman that liked it, and the woman that commented all have had singleton pregnancies, not multiples.  Third, this article explains in grotesque, horrible detail how awful labor, delivery, and post-delivery are.  I just wanted to say, "Good thing labor and delivery are the least of my concerns right now.  I'm worried about both of my babies being healthy and staying in long enough."

Oh no, she didn't!?!?!? WTF? I would be sooooo pissed. That is just rude.

@amandam1982 - It's just getting started. Just wait until your LOs get here. People just can't keep their ignorant remarks/advice/observations to themselves.

What pissed me off today? Oh, let's see. I work for a male-dominated company and these guys need so much hand holding to make a decision, I want to scream. They are going to end up doing what I said we should do - months ago, but it won't be because I suggested it and it won't be without a bunch of bitching and moaning like littlekids who didn't get their way. I feel like telling them to put their BGP on and man up!

  • Thanks ladies. I know this is something that I have to get use to, it's just sometimes I want to seriously just scream at people. Why can't duct taping people's mouths shut be illegal? :)
