New admin in our office - You seem really sweet but you were hired to do a certain job, not to talk all day long.
Also, since I've known you for about 2 months, we don't need to talk about how you and your husband have stopped using birth control and all the sordid details that go with it. I understand that I have this big belly and that somehow makes it seem as though I would care about everyone else's reproductive status, but hey, guess what? It doesn't!
Oh, and my annoying 21-year old cousin who is a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding - When I said I wanted the shower to be "French country", that did not at all mean "Mardi Gras". Please stop sending me pictures of wine bottles painted with green glitter paint and gold masks coming out of them for a Sunday luncheon. Also, when I told you we should start coming up with some ideas, I was kind of just being nice. I don't really want anyone else's ideas (no one else is paying!)
(ETA: That isn't very nice of me about the ideas for the shower, I just can't stand my cousin and I'm a crankbag, I know I'm not really in the right there)
I couldn't be more bitchy today. I don't know where this is all coming from.
My hips are a huge tw today! I am so tired and haven't been able to get comfortable enough to sleep more than 30-minute intervals in days. I gave in this morning and got up at 3:45 because I was sick of tossing and turning. My right hip in particular is constantly throbbing. And it's not from spreading, it's from laying on it. Ugh! I just want to be able to sleep comfortably again.
I'd like to nominate the lady that asked me to babysit her kids Thursday night and didn't tell me that they were sick. Now both me and my DS are sick. Thanks a lot bitch! Who does that?!?!
Mine goes to the Department of Education for the state I work in. I realize you want to be fancy and use technology for state assessments, but you should have probably fixed the major bugs in it before asking us all to test. I spent over and hour yesterday dealing with issues from the test and 45 minutes this morning with my student staring at a blank screen. My kids already get frustrated easily due to the test being well above their reading level. Don't add in technology issues too.

I have a feeling this is going to be me in a couple weeks. The logistics of having the entire school test on computers at the same time is just going to be ridiculous.

I nominate my damn city government. $240 speed camera ticket that's placed less than 50 ft after the speed limit change is fucking bullshit (wouldn't have been considered speeding w/o the change).
I nominate my coworker. She spent the last year whining about her job, the last three months saying that she was looking and then quitting. She asked me for advice about how to give notice LAST WEEK and told us (her fellow minions) her last day. She FINALLY gave notice and now won't speak to us about it, like it's a giant secret. It's so annoying.
I nominate my neighbour. Maybe a little preemptively, but he's been a twatwaffle ever since we moved in so...
We're have an AC unit installed in our house (FINALLY! I said I would never go through another summer without AC the first summer we moved in. 3 summers later, we're finally getting it done) and now that the snow has almost completely melted and the weather looks good, the AC company has called us up to book our installation appointment. Next Thursday. Yay! However, this means we need to talk to our neighbour about going on his property in order to complete the installation. There's about 8 inches between our house and the property line, so there's no way the work can be completed without going on his property.
This neighbour is nasty. To everyone on the street. So, I highly expect he's going to say no. Which means we'll have to cancel our installation appointment and start jumping through hoops to get a permit from the city which will take 6-8 weeks. Just to lean a ladder against our house for a couple hours.

I nominate my computer. This is stupid but I can't add gifs or pictures and it's driving me insane! Every time I go to add something, it pops up like this . It's so irritating!
@sempre_staccato - what if you went over with a bottle of liquor or some homemade cookies when you ask? This is a good time to show your bump too - make him have sympathy towards you
@krptcmschfmkr128 - ummm....I'd walk over there, dump out the contents on the front steps where they will clearly see it and then take it back to your house. How rude!
My TW nomination goes to my MIL - she has a key to our house and lives an hour and a half away. She just stops over on Saturday and makes up the dumbest excuse to be nosey in our house. I told DH that he better set some guidelines with her because I will NOT have her just stopping over after this baby is born. You can call and ask if it's ok to stop over like the other parents do. It's ridiculous to me! (And I want that key back - Idk why she has it in the first place!)
@shakeweights We've thought about that! But he's in his 80s, so no idea if he may have age related dietary restrictions, and there's a significant cultural gap and language barrier between us, so we're nervous that any little gifts might actually be culturally offensive... maybe I worry to much about it.
Also, I have actually banned myself from talking to him. He speaks very aggressively, which I automatically respond to by snapping back defensively. DH is much better at keeping a level head when talking to him. And, he hates kids - I don't think a bump would get any sympathy points from him.

I'm having the exact same problem. It's terrible! I hope we both find some relief soon.

This was me today......my kids were taking the ACT Aspire, and it nearly caused me to explode in frustration. Plus, our administration always waits until the last minute to do anything, which only made it worse. I totally feel your pain.
@dharmatron - seriously! it feels like I've been sleeping in a vice and someone is constantly twisting it to make it tighter on my hips. I was so miserable this morning. It's subsided a little but I'm dreading going to sleep tonight. I hope you find some relief soon too!!
Nausea is back and this work day is lasting forever... I should just not talk or interact with anyone today because I'm a crab apple. I need a preggo cave to hybernate in for the next 48 hours.
I nominate DH. we are leaving for the beach tonight after he gets home from work and this morning on his way out the door he says to me "oh by the way I don't have any shorts or bathing suits that fit me soooo..."
REALLY??? this trip has been planned for months. now I have to go buy you stuff that you will probably hate because I don't know what you want.
The receptionist at my OB office is a TW. She called me to cancel my 28 week appt and GTT for tonight because of an emergency birth. I totally get that these things happen and it's not a big deal to me, I'm quite glad she called before I started the glucose drink. My OB is lovely but I'm frustrated with his staff.
She informed me that I HAVE to have it done by Friday because once I hit 29 weeks it is "too late" and that they won't take my blood in office without actually seeing the OB. Apparently I waited "too long" as it is, even though this is the appointment the OB set up himself. The best part is she informs me they have no appointments until mid next week. When I ask her what she would like me to do she gets bitchy and tells me it's not really her problem. She then finds an emergency appointment slot and tells me she'll give it to me even though it should go to someone who has a more critical problem and that they will bump me from it if they have to and to "not be late" and hung up.
Sorry for the rant, I'm feeling unbelievably frustrated with her tone. This is the same woman who told me a few appointments back that I was holding things up because the nurse had trouble getting blood.
I nominate my DS fever!! He's had a fever since sunday night. Yesterday I got it to go down & then over night it went down to 98...i thought perfect its done. Then this morning he wakes up with it back over 100...i gave him more medicine & it dropped again but now its slowly creeping back up!!

Wow she sounds like a class A bitch to me. It isn't your fault the scheduling worked out this way.
I completely agree. Not okay. I'd be reporting her to the office manager or saying something to the OB.
As an ob office receptionist, this is absolutely unacceptable. Make a complaint to the ob ASAP. They should know if their clients are being treated like crap. Bitch!
My TW is DH. We went to our first prenatal class last night. He was so excited and loved it. However, it must have rattled something because he had crazy dreams last night. When this happens he talks in his sleep, sometimes walks. Well last night he put in a friggin theater performance. I ended up leaving and sleeping in the spare room. Dude has the nerve to give me the cold shoulder because he didn't sleep well because I wasn't in bed with him. Ugg I feel so exhausted this morning.
Blue Cross gets my vote. We have separate medical coverage from prescription drug. The drug company uploads all our expenses bi-monthly. Blue Cross says they have had a "computer glitch" that doesn't allow them to see what meds I've paid for that should count towards my deductible. They're rude when I call and nobody feels a sense of urgency to get this resolved even though it means I've paid nearly double my deductible. So, I haven't gotten credit for a single cent this entire year. I called the prescription company and she said they have never called on my behalf to get it figured out despite them stating to the contrary. So now I have to file a formal complaint and hope it helps. Oh, and my OB wants $400 by next week because Blue Cross insists I pay them my deductible.

Me: Actually, I have two more months still.
FC: Two more months?!?!? You must be having like seven babies!
Me: (blank stare)
Yes, I'm having SEVEN babies. Isn't amazing that I can still walk and work seven months pregnant with septuplets? Go me!

Why am I drawing such a blank?
