I once heard a report about a study where some large (like 50%) percentage of women said they would not marry their current husband if they could go back and undo it. They were not planning a divorce and not were not necessarily unhappily married. They just would have chosen a different path if they had the chance at a redo. I was wondering how O13 would compare. So, if you could do it over again, would you still marry your current husband?

I mostly lean towards yes, no question, but I put depends on the day. It really has nothing to do with dh. He's great and I'm very happy with him. I just sometimes wonder if I would have done something more interesting with my life if I hadn't settled down right out of college. I'm kind of where I always figured I'd be, so I doubt I really would have made any big exciting moves even if I wasn't with him. I kind of wish I could go back and change my answer already :)

  • absolutely. he's helped me develop into a better, more responsible person.

  • H and I went through a lot in the first 2 years of our relationship so I maybe would have not moved as fast as we did. In the end I would have still married him no questions!

This is a great point. I sometimes wonder this too. But then I think about my life if I had waited, and I just can't imagine it any other way. So I'm keeping my answer at "yes, no question"
  • Yes. I've been in enough bad (and absolutely horrid) to know good (or awesome) when I have it!

  • Sure, there are times he drives me insane. But, so many times I have been struck by how much we are so good for each other. How we are strong when the other needs strength, how we round each other out, and by how much fun we have together. We are definitely supposed to be together and when I think of the other directions my life may have taken with different choices, I thank heaven that it is the way it is now.
  • He is absolutely the best choice I ever made. My degree in GIS could of lead me into a lifestyle that would of been quite exciting. Sometimes I miss that, but at the end of the day I am right where I want to be.

  • As crazy as he makes me sometimes, I wouldn't change a thing. We have had our share of issues to work through and it might have been easier with someone who doesn't have the baggage he does, but he is perfect for me.

  • Even though we've kept trying to make it work for the kids, I truly love him and hope someday it will be for us more than for them. I would do it all over again even the incredibly painful parts. Without him I wouldn't have grown nearly as much as I have. I feel like we make each other better. When things are even just okay between us, we click really well. When things were good, it was amazing. And I have faith we can make it through.
