I am meeting with the diabetes counselor/dietician today at 3:30 EST. I am hoping to finally get more clarity on where I need to be carb/sugar wise and I am looking forward to getting the glucose meter. Not that I love to stab myself but I'd like to have real feedback since I don't know how drastic I need to be, I just barely failed my one hour but I never heard my results on the 3 hour other than I failed. I've done a lot of reading online and have been following that plan but the lady I spoke with briefly made it sound like I might get less carbs allotted since I am so petite. =(
Just had my glucose test! Wasn't as bad as I remember. The fruit punch is definitely better than the orange. Hopefully I don't have to do the dreaded 3 hour. Also got my whooping cough vaccine. Now down to every two weeks for appointments!
Going to MFM for my weekly growth check at 2:30 EDT. Hoping my little peanut is still growing steadily--her sister is outpacing her by quite a bit, so we're being monitored more closely in case they need to deliver early. Keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck to everyone else today!
Had my 30 week appointment. She said my sugars are "perfect" so I'm still med free and insulin free for my GD. I lost another pound which she's okay with. I had blood work done to check my iron. I was supposed to get my Tdap shot but the manufacturers out of stock so I have to keep checking back.
My appointment and GTT was cancelled. Apparently this "needs" to be done by Friday and won't take my blood without actually seeing the OB in an appointment.
I had another cervical length done and it was 3.5cm, a little less than my last one 2 weeks ago but still not considered a "short cervix" so I can just continue taking my Procardia & she's letting me travel to Florida for my brother's wedding this coming week. My boy is back to his regular frank breech position, but he's still got some time to flip....if not, there a lot worse things in life than a scheduled section!
I had to go for a cervical length meausuremt today. Has anyone else had to do this and was everything okay? My Dr. Said he just wanted to check because I had a leep procedure several years ago but it made me a little nervous that I don't know anyone else who has had this! Any experiences with this ladies?
Got a call today that I passed the 1 hour glucose and that my iron levels are good. Relieved about that!
I also had a chiropractic appointment today and talked to her about baby positioning. She said that the baby is head down but not facing posterior. She isn't worried because we have plenty of time, but she recommended crawling as a method for turning him. An awesome new exercise for me: crawling!
Thanks @caitykate and @lizardbreath14 - feels better knowing others have been there, done that. I'm going to assume everything is normal unless the doc calls. 12 more weeks of internal worrying and then it will all be focused outwardly to the new babe!
I had a cold knife cone that leaves me with only 2.5 cm to start with!!! Last pregnancy My cervix shortened to a 1.2-1.6 and I was hospitalized for 5 weeks. So in my eyes if you're working with high 2's or 3's for your cervix, that's fantastic
I hope everyone had a good appointment yesterday. I forgot to update. I had my regular appointment and everything went fine. My midwife did make the first comment about weight gain...up 6lbs from last month. I did make sure to mention that from early February to early March, I didn't gain any weight! I'm up a total of about 27lbs so I'll try to do better. I really don't want to gain any more than 9 more lbs and I have 9 weeks left...eeek!
