I don't moisturize the baby. Moisturizing too much isn't good for their skin. It makes the natural oils in their skin to not produce as much. If he gets a dry patch from eczema or what not I just put a little CJs on it.
Another Cerave believer. We started using it with DD at the rec of our derm. I've used it to keep DS's eczema in check, and I also use it on my face- the moisturizing cream is amazing!
I didn't want to sound too terrible in my question, but I'm only asking cause I've never used lotion except for Aquaphor on cuts...if that even counts. I didn't know if that was a terrible thing to admit. Ha. But I've noticed lately that her legs feel a bit dry (borderline scaly like mine are all winter), so I mostly want something to get her feeling "healthy" again - if that's a thing for skin.
I only put Aveeno on any rough patches, normally nothing else. The Aveeno wash we use is moisturizing so I don't see a need. Sometimes I use Aquaphor instead. And when DD is at MILs house and gets a bath she puts a few drops of baby oil in the water to keep her skin soft.
