Third baby

I'm due May ninth with baby #3 my other two are 31/2 and 20mo . I don't need anything but friends have asked me if I want a shower. What do you honestly feel about a shower for a third timer?

    Nope. One of my friends asked me about a sprinkle. I said no way. We are going to get a small group of girls together to have cake. NO GIFTS was stressed. It's just an excuse to have a girl's night and eat cake before baby comes.

    No. I'm on my 3rd as well and I did say no shower.
    Work gave me something small though, which was a very sweet surprise (I didn't work there during either pregnancy).

    This is #3 for us too. I can't imagine having a shower. Aside from how much my family would side-eye, I can't think of anything we really need that I haven't already purchased. I've bought more clothes than we need for #3 just so he can have a few things that are just for him.

    Hey technically baby number 4 between DH and I. And we had a grand affair complete with pizza, beer, and of course a bounce house! So I say go for it and grab the loot you can while you can !

    If ur friends are willing to throw you a shower then let them.  If ur having a child of the opposite gender ur goin to need all new stuff.

    Skip the shower (that way you save on money for food, drinks and decorations) and just ask directly for cash.  Send out an "invitation/letter" to all of your friends knowing that in place of their presence at a shower or gifts, they can just send cash or checks to your address. 
    IF DX: DOR & Fragile X pre-mutation carrier
    2011: FSH 13.3 & E 99; AMH 0.54 2nd FSH 6.2 E 40's AFC: 8
    BFP from Clomid/IUI ~ Pre-e and IUGR during pregnancy ~ DS born 9/4/12
    Feb./March 2013: AMH less than 0.16 (undectable) and AFC = 4;
    BFP from supps ~ DS#2 due May 2014

    Actually, I am going to say that you should even save on the money for invitations and just post on Facebook asking for money and send an evite/emails/facebook messages to all of your friends letting them know where to send the cash.

    Definitely throw your own. That way you can tell everyone exactly what you want. What kind of cake, catering, naked butlers, bounce house...

    Oh and you need to get a really good registry going. I mean, it's not all about the baby so think about what you want too. Jimmy Choos for making you feel fab, post-partum and an Xbox for DH, so he doesn't feel left out.


    Edit: make sure you post pictures too, so we can all be jealous!

    I would invite all of your friends over for a day of shopping. Go to the store, hand them each a copy of your registry and a coupon and then tell them how many they have to buy you. Props to you for making it easy for them. Bitches better be thankful.
