What is your morning schedule like? I'm going back to work next Monday and I have no idea what will work in the morning in terms of getting myself and LO ready and out of the house on time. DH works overnights so it's just me in the morning.
I've only been back a couple of days. The first day, I wasn't prepared- gave myself 90 minutes. I barely made it out of the house on time (and LO stays home with DH!) This morning, I gave myself 2 hours. I did better, but will probably bump it to 2 1/2 next time. When I get up, I eat and pump one side, unless LO is up-then I will feed first, eat/pump the other side after. Then store milk/wash parts and get my pump packed up. Shower, and usually by the time I am dressed, it's time to leave. If I had more time, I would pack a lunch and dry my hair.

@djtippietoes you ff right? I do too, so that's why I just don't need that much time. Much less to do. If everything is packed up the night before then you just have to get ready.
Yes, I FF. I was thinking that I'd need to feed him before we left in the morning based on when he wakes up at night.
I'm also on my own in the morning because DH leaves for work at 5 am or so. I am scared of getting out of the house in the morning with two kids, but with just DD we had a pretty nice routine. I would get up around 6:30 am if she didn't wake me up first. I would do some of my hair and makeup until she woke up. When she woke, I would feed her, then feed our dogs, and then we walked the dogs with her in the stroller. When we came back she would go in the bouncer while I finished hair and makeup and ate some cereal. Then we would change into our clothes for the day right before leaving because she was a major spitter-upper. We would eave the house around 8 am. I shower in the evenings so my whole getting ready routine only takes 10 or 15 minutes. I packed pump parts the night before, but otherwise there wasn't much to pack since I buy my lunches and when she was on formula, the formula and bottle stayed at our daycare provider's house. The routine gets much easier once LO has a predictable wake up time.

Not working yet this time but with my first 2 I did EVERYTHING at night just like @armalan12. Also, I had to make a spreadsheet checklist for all the stuff I had to remember to do/grab in the morning. Otherwise I would surely forget something like turning on the crockpot, leave check for yard guy, grab pump parts, extra diapers for daycare, etc. first few weeks are tough and then you hit a rythym.
I think what's stressing me out the most is trying to time when he wakes up/eats with when I can get ready myself. He is hungry as soon as he gets up. If he gets up too early, I don't know what to do with him while I get ready.
DS3 wakes up between 5:30-6:30, I nurse him then. The big kids wake up at 6:50. Get them dressed and turn on cartoons. DS3 hangs out in the boppy or bounce chair while I get dressed. I shower the night before. Finally get DS3 dressed and ready. Leave the house about 7:40, drop big kids off, and head to work!
My situation is a little different because DS3 goes to the office with me. Definitely agree on doing as much as possible the night before, and don't worry about your hair. My hair hasn't seen a straightener in over a year!
Today is my first day back! Ahhhh!!! This morning went really well. I had everything ready last night including what I was going to dress her in this morning and bottles made. My LO only gets up one time at night (early morning) to eat, so that's really nice for us. I had to be out of the house by 7:15, and that gets her a little off her normal routine. I got myself around while she was sleeping and then woke her, fed, burped and changed her and got out the door with no problems. The bottle was a little earlier than she should have been fed, but I wasn't going to try to get her roused without feeding her because I knew she would be pissed (and I got a little extra kisses and snuggles). So, our normal routine is a bit off, but it will all work out eventually.
Good luck and don't stress too much. Even though it seems impossible, it all works out. I always tell myself that people less intelligent than me do it all the time, so I can do it too .

My only real suggestions are bouncer seat in the bathroom and have a quick go to hair style. Somedays my hair is just pulled back.
When DD1 was a baby, she woke up just before I got in the shower, so she played on a playmat in the bathroom while I showered, until she was mobile anyway. Yay for late crawlers.
For mornings when LO wake a early, have a simple routine. Consider rinsing off in the shower with a shower cap so you don't need to dry your hair. Use dry shampoo and pull your hair back, and consider dropping LO off a bit early and applying makeup in the car in the parking lot.
Doing as much as you can the night before, from laying out clothes to packing your lunch and Lo's supplies--Perhaps even shower the night before-- will make mornings easier.
I used to either take the dog out before the baby woke or if he woke early, I'd wear him while the dog went.
I need to leave the house at 7:50. I will get up at 6:15, pump, run, shower and get ready. Wake LO at 7:30 and DH will give him a bottle of BM. I will get his outfit for DH to change him. I will get DS1 up and breakfast started and leave both boys with DH. He will take them both to the sitters ( which thank heavens in nested door) we will see how my plans work, I return to work week from Monday
