I went to urgent care today because I have a cough that just won't go away. So that got me thinking should I have gone to my ob? I forget what I did with my other two and I just wanted to be seen quick.
With my first, I always went to my primary care doctor whenever I had issues non-pregnancy related. I saw my primary care doc for some sinus infection stuff without a problem.
OB is a pregnancy/delivery specialist. For non-pregnancy issues, go to your PCP / general practitioner.
Your OB probably wouldn't even see you for that anyway. And a bunch of pregnant women & women with newborns (there for the woman's 6-week postpartum check) do not want to be around sick people in the waiting room.
