Metrogel for bv??

Hi ladies!! I am almost 33 weeks pregnant and my doc diagnosed me with having bv after I came to labor and delivery for bad contractions. He prescribed metrogel to treat it. I thought pregnant women were usually given pills to treat it. Anyone else prescribed this vaginal gel while pregnant?? Hope all of your pregnancies are going well!!

    I used the metrogel at 28 weeks. It cleared up the BV with no recurrences and I'm 34 weeks now. They prescribed me 1 tube at night for 5 nights. The gel did come out the next morning with white bits in it so it does look gross but I haven't had any issues since.

    @ljbreck‌ .... Thanks so much for your reply. I am also experiencing the white bits coming out in the morning so it was reassuring to hear you say that!! Glad it worked so well for you. I am hoping it clears up mine as well.
