S/o lowering cribs...

Should the crib be on the absolute lowest setting once they learn to pull up?

I thought the lowest was for the toddler bed... We have a PBK crib. Below is Mr. J in action.

Re: S/o lowering cribs...

  • I don't think our crib has a third setting (we have an ikea) and if  it does we put it on the lowest anyways.  She is learning things so fast I wanted to make sure it was on the lowest setting just in case she wanted to learn to pull up in the crib overnight!

  • Not sure about differences between cribs, but we put ours on the lowest setting now that he is pulling up.
  • My doc gave us instructions to put the crib mattress on the lowest setting starting at 6 months.

  • I think it depends how far she can lean over. I had to move mine all the way bc she was leaning forward on the middle setting (which I determined is a pointless ass setting). I'd lower it to be on the safe side and not have to do it again later anyways.

  • We moved ours to the lowest setting when we brought Bruce home, since he was already pulling to standing and cruising on furniture.
