PW...making your own formula?

Has anyone ever heard of this? My babysitter has a client that makes their own formula. The babysitter mentioned that it smells horrific when the baby spits up. I guess they mix in fish oil and stuff like that...

Is this weird to anyone else? I would be concerned that I wasn't giving them the proper nutrition...

I know a mom who does it. It scares me it really does. She's also a non vaxer so you know.

Yeah it's kind of big around here. I would not consider it for a second. The people that I know of that do it are convinced that industrial formula is full of toxic chemicals and the evil formula industry exists solely to undermine breastfeeding women.

Yeah my cousin did that. She's a major hippy and everything she does is completely natural. She couldn't nurse because her son was born with a cleft lip. I would never though.
