Has anyone had one while pregnant? If so, did it go away after pregnancy or did you need to have it removed? Sorry if this topic should be put in a certain thread. I wasn't sure where to ask it.
It's actually fairly common for pregnant women to have gallbladder attacks. Most that I know who had them while pregnant had their gallbladders removed after they delivered.

Do you know if they had symptoms before? I had one attack a few weeks ago but the surgeon said there was a chance that I might not have to need to removed since I've had no symptoms beforehand.
My sister-in-law had HORRIBLE attacks during all three of herregnancies. They went away after the babies were born. Her youngest is now 12 and she has no problems. Feel better, I remember seeing her in a lot of pain. Those are not fun.
That's so great to hear! I'm really crossing my fingers that I'll be able to avoid having it removed!

Uhhh I know how to spell pregnancy. I'm not entirely sure what a herregnancy is....lol!!
@cdk211 it's a little early in the day to be toasted
Ugh, sorry to hear you're not feeling great! Never during pregnancy, but I had a brief period with gallbladder attacks and very shortly thereafter they removed it. I don't know much about pregnancy's impact on it, but I hope you can get some relief! Do know, if you have to have it removed, it's a pretty "easy" surgery, especially if they can do it laproscopically.

Thanks. I'm feeling much better, they're having me on pain pills, as needed, for the rest of the pregnancy. After removing it have you noticed that you can't handle foods like you used to? Like stomach pains still or needing to be close to a restroom after a heavy meal?
I've had problems with both pregnancies. With my son I had a few attacks after he was born, but they did go away and all was good until I got pregnant again. I'm hoping the same is true this time, I don't want surgery unless absolutely necessary.

They never had symptoms before they were pregnant and they didn't go away after. I had mine out when I was 19 and I'm glad I didn't have it when I was pregnant haha. It's such an awful pain! I hope you feel better.
